Purpose: Fear of missing out (FoMO) and internet addiction are significant phenomena in today's digital age. This study aims to explore the relationships between FoMO levels, internet addiction levels, time spent on the internet, and other factors among dental students.
Methods: Data were collected from 252 dental students, including 127 females.
Background: To evaluate the accuracy of the electronic apex locators (EALs), and Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scanning, both in working length (WL) determination and in the detection of root canal perforations in retreatment cases.
Methods: Sixty human mandibular premolars were selected. After crown removal partially and canal access, root canals were instrumented and irrigated.
Objectives: This study aimed to compare the accuracy of cone-beam CT (CBCT) scanning and 3 different electronic apex locators (EALs) in the detection of simulated oblique root fractures (ORF) in different localizations.
Methods: The study utilised a total of 80 human maxillary incisors, which were categorised into two groups based on the location of the ORF (apical and middle third of the root) formed on the buccal side of the root surface. The measurement of the distance between the incisal edge and the intersection of the ORF with the root canal was conducted using a stereomicroscope.
Purpose: To investigate the influence of various nickel-titanium (Ni-Ti) files on debris extrusion during the retreatment of teeth with simulated lateral root perforation, focusing on root resorption.
Methods: Sixty human mandibular premolar teeth were divided into groups with and without perforation and further subdivided based on the retreatment technique. Lateral root perforations were created in one group (Group 1), while the other group had no perforations (Group 2).
Objectives: This study aimed to determine the effects of 1-rooted mandibular second molar (MnSM) teeth on root canal anatomy complexities of the mandibular central incisor (MnCI), mandibular lateral incisor (MnLI), mandibular canine (MnCn), mandibular first premolar (MnFP), mandibular second premolar (MnSP), and mandibular first molar (MnFM) teeth.
Materials And Methods: Cone-beam computed tomography images of 600 patients with full lower dentition were examined. Individuals with 1-rooted MnSMs were determined, and the complexity of root canal anatomy of other teeth was compared with individuals without 1-rooted MnSMs (Group-1; subjects with at least one 1-rooted MnSM, Group-2; subjects with more than a single root in both MnSMs).
