Article Synopsis
  • Knowledge of genetic variability in dromedaries can aid in selective breeding and understanding their domestication history.
  • A study analyzed an 809 bp segment of mtDNA from various dromedary breeds in Saudi Arabia, identifying 16 mtDNA haplotypes among 47 camels, with a high haplotypic diversity of 0.817.
  • The findings suggest that many haplotypes are closely related to ancient wild dromedaries, supporting the idea that the Arabian Peninsula is a key region for the diversification of dromedaries.

The aim of study was to optimize fermentation parameters for inulinase production from by a statistical approach and to carry out purification of inulinase. Five isolated fungal strains were screen out inulin degradation by using Lugol's iodine solution. exhibited maximum zone of clearance around the colony and was used as an inulinase producer.

1,2-diborolanes with strong and without strong donor substituents have been described, and are also referred to as 1,2-diboracyclopentane. The 1,2-diaryl/alkyl-amino-1,2-diboracyclopentanes 2, 3, and 4 were obtained in good yield after the reaction of 1,2-dichloro-1,2-diboracyclopentane 1 with ArNHLi and MeSi-NR. The structures of these new derivatives were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

The most common macrolide resistance mechanisms in streptococci are the presence of methylase encoding genes and or the presence of efflux encoded by genes. In the present study we aimed to show the effects of the gene under isogenic conditions on the activities of macrolides and lincosamides in streptococci. Total DNA was extracted from C1, and the gene was amplified with or without the regulatory region using modified primer with insertion of restriction sites to clone in to pUC18.

The influence of the grinding and physical form of diets on growth performance, gastrointestinal tract (GIT) development and nutrient digestibility was studied in layer pullets from hatch to 112 d of age. Diet formed a 2 × 2 factorial with 2 hammer mill screen sizes to grind cereals (4 and 8 mm) and 2 forms (mash and crumble). A total of 864 1-day-old layer chickens were randomly assigned to 1 of the 4 treatment groups with 8 replicates (27 birds per replicate).
