A comparison of conventional intervention and home-based approach with head-mounted device for cervical spondylotic myelopathy after surgery.

Cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) is rising in the aging population. This study evaluated conventional versus home-based exercise interventions with a head-mounted device in 75 patients. Participants were divided into conventional (N = 36) and home-based (N = 39) groups, assessed pre-surgery, 3-months post-surgery, and after an eight-week intervention.

Search for Magnetic Monopole Pair Production in Ultraperipheral Pb+Pb Collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.36 TeV with the ATLAS Detector at the LHC.

This Letter presents a search for highly ionizing magnetic monopoles in 262  μb^{-1} of ultraperipheral Pb+Pb collision data at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.36  TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. A new methodology that exploits the properties of clusters of hits reconstructed in the innermost silicon detector layers is introduced to study highly ionizing particles in heavy-ion data.

A Reappraisal of Lymph Node Dissection for Gastric Adenocarcinoma during Upfront Gastrectomy-An Institutional Report.

Aim: The role of lymph node dissection (LND) in gastric adenocarcinoma (GAC) remained some controversy. This study reappraised the clinical implications of LND for GAC in terms of the numbers of total lymph node (TLN), positive lymph node (PLN) and negative lymph node (NLN).

Methods: A total of 106 GAC patients receiving an upfront gastrectomy (laparoscopic/laparotomy surgery, 19/87) with LND (D1/D1+/D2 dissection, 5/53/48) between Jan 2017 and Dec 2021 in Cathay General Hospital, Taipei were analyzed.

Multiplex single-cell profiling of putative cancer stem cell markers ALDH1, SOX9, SOX2, CD44, CD133 and CD15 in endometrial cancer.

The presence of cancer stem cells is linked to aggressive disease and higher risk of recurrence, and multiple markers have been proposed to detect cancer stem cells. However, a detailed evaluation of the expression patterns and the prognostic value of markers relevant for endometrial cancer is lacking. As organoid models are suggested to be enriched in cancer stem cells, such models may prove valuable to define tissue-specific cancer stem cells.

Simultaneous Unbinned Differential Cross-Section Measurement of Twenty-Four Z+jets Kinematic Observables with the ATLAS Detector.

Z boson events at the Large Hadron Collider can be selected with high purity and are sensitive to a diverse range of QCD phenomena. As a result, these events are often used to probe the nature of the strong force, improve Monte Carlo event generators, and search for deviations from standard model predictions. All previous measurements of Z boson production characterize the event properties using a small number of observables and present the results as differential cross sections in predetermined bins.
