Clinical reporting of radiographs by radiographers: Policy and practice guidance for regional imaging networks.

Objectives: Radiographer reporting is an essential component of imaging across the United Kingdom. Since the previous policy and practice guidance in 2004 the role and contribution of reporting radiographers has changed significantly. The move to imaging networks further reinforces the need for consistency in scope of practice and clinical governance for radiographer reporting.

Reporting radiographer peer review systems: A cross-sectional survey of London NHS Trusts.

Introduction: Peer review is frequently incorporated within radiographer reporting services. The aim of this study is to establish peer review systems used for radiograph reports provided by reporting radiographers in London.

Methods: An online cross-sectional survey of NHS diagnostic imaging departments was performed.

To support the effort to eliminate the Syrian Arab Republic chemical weapons stockpile safely, there was a requirement to provide scientific advice based on experimentally derived information on both toxicity and medical countermeasures (MedCM) in the event of exposure to VM, VX or VM-VX mixtures. Complementary and studies were undertaken to inform that advice. The penetration rate of neat VM was not significantly different from that of neat VX, through either guinea pig or pig skin .

Synthesis of phenazine derivatives for use as precursors to electrochemically generated bases.

1,6-Disubstituted phenazine derivatives for use as precursors to electrochemically generated bases have been synthesized from readily available starting materials. Reaction of 1,6-dihydroxyphenazine with 1,10-diododecane, 1,11-diiodo-3,6,9-trioxaundecane or (R,R)-(-)-1,2-bis(3-iodopropoxy)cyclohexane gave planar chiral phenazinophanes containing ether-linked bridges; molecular structures of all these compounds have been determined by X-ray crystallography. Substituted 1,6-diaminophenazines were prepared by palladium-mediated amination of 1,6-dichlorophenazine and acylation of 1,6-diaminophenazine followed by reduction.
