Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (COVID 19) has plagued the world with about 7,8 million confirmed cases and over 430,000 deaths as of June 13th, 2020. The knowledge, attitude, and practices (KAP) people hold towards this new disease could play a major role in the way they accept measures put in place to curb its spread and their willingness to seek and adhere to care. We sought to understand if: a) demographic variables of Cameroonian residents could influence KAP and symptomatology, and b) KAP could influence the risk of having COVID19.

Purpose: To determine the patient doses during noncardiac diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures carried out in a dedicated angiographic unit.

Materials And Methods: For 1,214 interventional procedures, the technique type, dose-area product (DAP), cumulative dose (CD), and fluoroscopy time were recorded. These procedures were classified into 23 categories (10 diagnostic and 13 therapeutic) that included nine to 259 patients each.

This investigation determined patient doses during digital subtraction angiography (DSA). Fluoroscopy time, dose-area product (DAP) and entrance surface air kerma (ESAK) were analysed from 263 DSA examinations, classified into seven categories: (1) abdominal aorta, iliac, femoral, popliteal and leg arteries; (2) abdominal aorta and superselective DSA of renal arteries; (3) combination of (1) and (2); (4) superselective DSA of common carotid and vertebral arteries, intracranial branches in face and profile projections; (5) superselective DSA of hepatic, splenic, superior and inferior mesenteric arteries; (6) combination of (1) and (4); and (7) celiac trunk and branches. Median DAP values were 67.

The purpose of this study was to determine the thyroid, sternum and hand radiation doses of radiologists who perform angiographies and angioplasties via the radial artery. Staff radiation dose was estimated for 21 cardiac interventional catheterisations. Thermoluminescence dosemeters (TLDs) were used to determine radiation dose for each procedure at the right and left wrist, at the sternum and the thyroid.
