IgA nephropathy (IgAN), the most prevalent primary glomerulonephritis worldwide, carries a considerable lifetime risk of kidney failure. The etiology of IgAN, however, remains incompletely understood, and effective treatment is lacking. Although the multihit model effectively identifies key steps in IgAN development and, to date, provides the best description of IgAN pathogenesis, it remains under development to fully capture the complexity of immune system dysregulation.

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play a crucial role in modulating cancer progression and metastasis. This study investigates the tumor-promoting function of long noncoding RNA BCAR4 in osteosarcoma and elucidates its regulatory mechanism. Although BCAR4 acts as a tumor promoter in osteosarcoma, its regulatory mechanism remains unclear.

The detection of organic pollutants in water was deemed critical for safeguarding aquatic ecosystems, maintaining human health, and upholding water quality standards. In this study, a novel electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor was proposed for the sensitive detection of hydroquinone (HQ) in lake water, utilizing a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with silver/luminol-functionalized carbon microspheres (GCE/CM@Ag/Lu). Due to the consumption of HO by HQ, the ECL signal was attenuated, enabling the quantitative detection of HQ.

As a new type of drug delivery system, microneedle have received extensive attention in wound healing due to their penetrability, painlessness, and high drug delivery efficiency. However, microneedle are often unable to penetrate the skin completely due to the limitations of the skin's mechanical properties, resulting in low drug delivery efficiency during wound repair. Therefore, it is particularly important to optimize the multi-level structural design of microneedles.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have garnered increasing global attention due to their widespread occurrence in groundwater and the potential health risks to humans. This review aimed to clarify the occurrence and treatment of PFAS in groundwater by summarizing literature published in the Web of Science Core Collection from January 2000 to April 2024. Information on 461 reported PFAS-contaminated groundwater sites was compiled, revealing key characteristics of pollution sources and concentrations.
