[Increase in opioid prescribing in extramural care in the Netherlands: assessment of use and prescription behaviour, based on claims data].

Objective: Describe the trends in extramural prescription of opioids in the Netherlands.

Design: Descriptive, retrospective research based on claims data of Dutch health insurers.

Method: For each healthcare-insured Dutch resident we selected claims data for all opioids, except codeine and buprenorphine, for the period 2010-2017.

A 41-year-old man complained about pain in his left shoulder after cardioversion. Abduction and exorotation were painful and impaired. X-rays showed a posterior shoulder luxation.

Comparative study of Dutch and German emergency-management models for near border nuclear accidents.

Four institutes, all of which are involved in nuclear-emergency management in the Dutch-German border region, have compared their short-range dispersion and radiological dose models using scenarios consisting of single-station meteorology and two dispersed radionuclides. After adjustment of some of the parameters, the consequence of the differences in parameters on the effective dose was quantified at several stages from source to exposure. Results for the neutral stability class agreed within a factor of four.

Can the confidence in long range atmospheric transport models be increased? The pan-european experience of ensemble.

Is atmospheric dispersion forecasting an important asset of the early-phase nuclear emergency response management? Is there a 'perfect atmospheric dispersion model'? Is there a way to make the results of dispersion models more reliable and trustworthy? While seeking to answer these questions the multi-model ensemble dispersion forecast system ENSEMBLE will be presented.
