We used scanning electron microscopy to visualize the regeneration of goldfish scales on day 3 in vivo. Several vesicle-like structures of 100-700 nm diameter flowed onto the fibrous sheets in groups of spindle-shaped bodies arranged in the same direction. Transmission electron microscopy revealed that these structures were encircled by the lipid bilayer membrane.

Studies have reported good accuracy for total hip arthroplasty (THA) using computed tomography-based navigation (CTN); however, in recent years, portable navigation (PN) has become more widely applied because of its low cost and ease of use. This study aimed to compare the accuracy of portable navigation with that of CT-based navigation.

Femoral head collapse in osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) may affect both values. We investigated factors influencing the CSA and CTV of the periarticular muscles in patients with ONFH.

The present study sought to determine the characteristics of porcine oocyte-cumulus complexes (OCCs) derived from very small and small antral follicles (with less than 1 mm and 1-3 mm in diameter, respectively; VSF and SF) in comparison with controls from medium ones (with 3-6 mm in diameter; MF). Additionally, the present study examined the utility of brilliant cresyl blue (BCB) staining for assessing these OCCs. The incidence of BCB- oocytes in VSF- and SF-derived OCCs was higher than that in MF-derived OCCs.

The growth of periacetabular osteophytes with developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) remains unclear. This study aimed to perform a three-dimensional assessment of periacetabular osteophytes and the effects of superiorization (SP) and lateralization (LT) of the femoral head on osteophyte formation. Female (n = 105) with unilateral hip osteoarthritis due to DDH who underwent total hip arthroplasty between 2016 and 2022 were included.
