Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence and risk factors of infant dyschezia as well as pediatrician awareness regarding this disease in Indonesia.

Methods: This is a two-part cross-sectional study, which was divided into study A and B. Study A: Parents whose infants were under 9 months old and attended well-baby clinics were recruited at two randomly selected primary health centers.

Silent Hypertensive Crisis in an Adolescent: First Case Report of Pediatric Pheochromocytoma from Indonesia.

Secondary hypertension in children, to the rare extent, can be caused by endocrine factors such as pheochromocytoma, an adrenal tumor that secretes catecholamine. Only a few cases have been reported in the past 3 decades. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case report of pediatric pheochromocytoma from Indonesia.

The role of polysaccharide peptide of Ganoderma lucidum as a potent antioxidant against atherosclerosis in high risk and stable angina patients.

Objectives: Antioxidants can reduce oxidative radicals that affect the early phase of atherogenesis, that is endothelial dysfunction. Polysaccharide Peptide (PsP) derived from Ganoderma lucidum has an active substance in the form of β-glucan. Previous studies have proven the PsP of Ganoderma lucidum as an effective antioxidant in atherosclerotic rats and shows no toxicity in animal model.

Comparison between brief food frequency questionnaire and food record to assess the energy and protein intake of hemodialysis patients at Dr. Sardjito Hospital in Indonesia.

Dietary assessment is absolutely necessary to meet the dietary requirements of hemodialysis (HD) patients. A food record is the most commonly used method; however, it is not routinely performed. The weakness of this method is that it is burdensome for some respondents and requires more time to complete data entry.
