Adjunctive therapea - a promising method in the treatment of periodontal disease.

Objectives: The aim of the study is to compare the clinical efficacy of the application of "Armenicum" paste as an adjunct to SRP for the non-surgical treatment of patients with periodontitis.

Methods: The current RCT prospective study was conducted on 157 patients with chronic periodontitis. The patients were blind randomly assigned into two groups: Group A (SRP + Armenicum" paste) 81 patients (42 males and 39 females, 37 to 68 years) and Group B (SRP) 76 patients (39 males and 37 females, 37 to 68 years).

The COVID-19 pandemic, driven by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, necessitates the development of effective therapeutics. The main protease of the virus, Mpro, is a key target due to its crucial role in viral replication. Our study presents a novel approach combining ligand-based pharmacophore modeling with structure-based advanced virtual screening to identify potential inhibitors of Mpro.

Designing and additive manufacturing of talus implant for post-traumatic talus avascular necrosis: a case study.

New technologies in additive manufacturing and patient-specific CT-based custom implant designs make it possible for previously unimaginable salvage and limb-sparing operations a practical reality. This study presents the design and fabrication of a lattice-structured implant for talus replacement surgery. Our primary case involved a young adult patient who had sustained severe damage to the talus, resulting in avascular necrosis and subsequent bone collapse.

The reported impact of non-communicable disease investment cases in 13 countries.

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are a leading health and development challenge worldwide. Since 2015, WHO and the United Nations Development Programme have provided support to governments to develop national NCD investment cases to describe the socioeconomic dimensions of NCDs. To assess the impact of the investment cases, semistructured interviews and a structured process for gathering written feedback were conducted between July and October 2022 with key informants in 13 countries who had developed a national NCD investment case between 2015 and 2020.
