Background And Objective: The Scania Accelerated Intermittent Theta-burst Implementation Study (SATIS) aimed to investigate the tolerability, preliminary effectiveness, and practical feasibility of an accelerated intermittent theta burst stimulation (aTBS) protocol in treating depression.

Methods: We used an open-label observational design, recruiting 20 patients (aged 19-84 years) from two public brain stimulation centers in Sweden. During the five-day treatment period and at a follow-up visit after 30 days we closely monitored adverse events and collected self-rated side effect data.

Background: Pathologic response following neoadjuvant immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) in stage III melanoma serves as a surrogate marker for long-term outcomes. This may support more personalized, response-directed treatment strategies.

Methods: The OpACIN-neo and PRADO trials were phase 2 studies evaluating neoadjuvant treatment with ipilimumab and nivolumab in stage III melanoma.

Vaccine antigens are partly adsorbed onto aluminium-based adjuvant particles, forming an unstable corona. At the inoculation site, the corona will be restructured, and the adsorbed antigens will be released through replacement with biomolecules from the interstitial fluid of the recipient. Aluminium-based adjuvants (ABAs) carrying a corona of serum proteins as a model of particles with a pre-formed antigen corona were shown to adsorb several categories of cytokines and growth factors, as assessed from a protein array covering 18 different analytes.

Plasma-derived extracellular vesicles (pEVs) are a potential source of diseased biomarker proteins. However, characterizing the pEV proteome is challenging due to its relatively low abundance and difficulties in enrichment. This study presents a streamlined workflow to identify EV proteins from cancer patient plasma using minimal sample input.
