Background: Malnutrition presents a major global health burden. In Egypt, it remains an important issue in children under 5 years especially in rural communities.

Aim Of The Study: The aim of the study was to screen 2-5 years old children enrolled from Egyptian hospitals in rural and urban areas for the risk of malnutrition using Screening Tool for Assessment of Malnutrition in Pediatric (STAMP) and to evaluate the effectiveness of nutritional intervention programs.

Species of Acanthamoeba Volkonsky, 1931 are the commonest among free-living amoebae that are widespread in different water resources but with lacking phylogenetic data. This study aims at detecting molecular prevalence and genetic diversity of Acanthamoeba isolates in Kafrelsheikh Governorate, Egypt. Forty-eight water samples were collected from 12 swimming pools; four samples during each season over one year.

This study evaluated in vitro effect of different concentrations of () ethanol extract and honey against spp. cysts in comparison with chlorhexidine (the drug of choice for treatment of infection) at different incubation periods. In this study, the transesterification reaction of PHB was carried out under reflux conditions in the presence of 1,4-butanediol to form telechelic PHB-diol.
