Approximately 60% of traditionally defined human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative breast cancers express low levels of HER2 [HER2-low; defined as immunohistochemistry (IHC) 1+ or IHC 2+/in situ hybridization (ISH)-]. HER2-low breast cancers encompass a large percentage of both hormone receptor-positive (up to 85%) and triple-negative (up to 63%) breast cancers. The DESTINY-Breast04 trial established that HER2-low tumors are targetable, leading to the approval of trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) as the first HER2-directed therapy for the treatment of HER2-low breast cancer in the United States and Europe.

Background: Glucose testing at the point-of-care (POC) is routinely used in the diagnosis, prognosis, and monitoring of diabetic states and other clinical conditions. Accurate reference intervals (RIs) are essential in appropriate clinical decision-making. In this study, RIs were established for random glucose (whole blood) in the Canadian Laboratory Initiative on Pediatric Reference (CALIPER) cohort using 2 POC instruments: the Nova Biomedical StatStrip (handheld glucometer) and Radiometer ABL90 FLEX Plus (benchtop instrument).

Personality ratings of ten adolescent pig-tailed macaques (Macaca nemestrina) were carried out by three experienced observers who used a simple three-point rating system. A modification of Stevenson-Hinde & Zunz's [1978] procedure, the agreement between raters on each of 21 traits was evaluated. When correlated with social rank, it was shown that dominant animals were rated as being, for example, confident, effective, and opportunistic.
