Article Synopsis
  • The digital image correlation method is an advanced, non-contact technique used to monitor ground deformation, especially for surface monitoring.
  • This paper introduces a new approach for monitoring slopes by recognizing different surface characteristics and adapting the deformation calculation methods accordingly.
  • Using a highway slope in Qinhuangdao as a case study, the authors demonstrate that this regional digital image slope monitoring method can effectively conduct all-weather and full-field deformation monitoring, enhancing the method's practicality in real-world scenarios.

Objective: To examine whether transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation at acupoints (Acu-TENS) improved the biochemical and physical indices of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Methods: Ninety subjects with T2DM were divided randomly into a control group (n = 30), aerobic exercise group (n = 30), or Acu-TENS group (n = 30). In addition to conventional diabetes drug treatment, patients in the Acu-TENS group received acupoint stimulation, the aerobic exercise group engaged in walking exercises, and the control group was given sham electrical stimulation.

Gliomas, with a poor clinical course, account for 30% to 40% of all intracranial tumors. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies has emerged as a promising area of investigation and recently it has been shown that antibodies utilize complementarity-determining regions (CDRs) of their variable domains to bind to antigens with high affinity and specificity. Here, we designed an antibody mimetic fused with diphtheria toxin to target the U87 MG glioma cell line.
