Purpose: Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is a highly aggressive tumor with neuroendocrine origin. Although SCLC frequently express somatostatin receptor type 2 (SSTR2), a significant clinical benefit of SSTR2-targeted radionuclide therapies of SCLC was not observed so far. We hypothesize that combination treatment with a PARP inhibitor (PARPi) could lead to radiosensitization and increase the effectiveness of SSTR2-targeted therapy in SCLC.

Landornamide A is a ribosomally synthesized and post-translationally modified peptide (RiPP) natural product with antiviral activity. Its biosynthetic gene cluster encodes─among other maturases─the peptide arginase OspR, which converts arginine to ornithine units in an unusual post-translational modification. There is a bidirectional relationship between poor sleep and both mood- and anxiety-related disorders, which are among leading global health concerns. Additionally, both disordered sleep and these psychiatric disorders appear to be independently associated with altered autonomic nervous system (ANS) function. We hypothesise that ANS dysregulation during sleep may explain part of the relationship between poor sleep and mood- and anxiety-related disorders.
