Aim: The aim of this study was to assess the criterion validity of the Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition criteria compared to the subjective global assessment in a diverse inpatient population.

Methods: This cross-sectional study was a retrospective analysis of point prevalence audit data. The prevalence of malnutrition determined by the Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition criteria was compared to the Subjective Global Assessment.

Lived experience consultants to a child sexual abuse inquiry: Survivor epistemology as a counterweight to legal and administrative proceduralism.

Background: The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) in England and Wales was the first major child abuse inquiry internationally to appoint survivors to a formal role. The appointment of the Victims and Survivors Consultative Panel (VSCP) reflects growing recognition of the value of lived experience expertise and a broader shift in the policy domain towards public involvement and co-design.

Objective: This article draws on research that sought to understand both the experiences of a group of victims and survivors with related professional expertise consulting to a public inquiry, and the impact they had on the operation of the inquiry.

Evaluating performance and quality of a fast multi-contrast scan in routine brain MRI.

Background And Purpose: Neuromix is a fast, motion robust multi-contrast sequence capable of providing all diagnostic contrasts in ∼3.5 minutes. However, more evaluation is needed across the various contrasts compared to gold standard, optimized sequences routinely used in the clinic.

Improved macronutrient composition of meals delivered to people with diabetes in hospital: a pre-post, mixed-methods observational study.

Background: Providing meals which meet diverse needs of hospital inpatients is complex, contributing to challenges in optimising glycaemia. We developed menus that improved the appropriateness of macronutrient composition of meals for inpatients with diabetes.

Methods: Qualitative feedback from patients and healthcare professionals prompted the implementation of two new menus: 'diabetes lifestyle' and 'diabetes high energy'.

Facilitating return of actionable genetic research results from a biobank repository: Participant uptake and utilization of digital interventions.

Research participants report interest in receiving genetic research results. How best to return results remains unclear. In this randomized pilot study, we sought to assess the feasibility of returning actionable research results through a two-step process including a patient-centered digital intervention as compared with a genetic counselor (GC) in the Penn Medicine biobank.
