Once covered, forever covered: The actuarial challenges of the Belgian private health insurance system.

The Belgian Law of 20 July 2007 has drastically changed the Belgian private health insurance sector by making individual contracts lifelong with the technical basis (i.e. actuarial assumptions) fixed at policy issue.

[Clinical studies on the relationship between occlusal premature contracts, plaque incidence and bone resorption].

The plaque index, sulcus-hemorrhage index, and osteoclasis were measured in a clinical study of 60 patients. The presence of premature contacts was determined via instrumental functional analysis. The statistically evaluated findings establish that occlusal interference has a damaging influence on osteoclasis in the presence of inflammation.
