The use of biocontrol agents to control soilborne diseases is a promising alternative to chemical pesticides, however, obtaining a homogeneous distribution and incorporation of conidia of fungal biocontrol agents into the soil is often difficult. Several carriers/formulations have been proposed over time, unfortunately without offering an ultimate solution. We propose the use of wood pellets as a carrier of conidia of a saprophytic fungus that has good biodegradation and biocontrol properties (Trichoderma atroviride SC1).

Wood pellets can sustain the growth of spp. in soil; however, little is known about their side effects on the microbiota. The aims of this study were to evaluate the effect of wood pellets on the growth of spp.

Four sets of primers were designed based on the alignment of the complete coat protein (CP) gene sequences of several isolates of four different vitiviruses, i.e. grapevine virus B (GVB), GVD, GVE and GVF, and tested for their efficiency in RT-PCR assays to detect vitiviruses infections in grapevine.

Glycosylated albumin is considered as a potentially accurate indicator of shorter-term average glucose concentration compared with the current standard HbA1c and as such, it is attracting the interest of the scientific community as a possible diagnosis marker for diabetic patients. The purpose of this paper is to achieve a better understanding of the glycation effect of albumin on its electrochemical properties. That is done through the use of Interdigitated gold microelectrodes (IDGE) as support in a label free impedimetric immunosensor for the detection of human serum albumin detection in glycated (GA) and non-glycated (HSA) form.

In this work, two biosensors were developed for the detection of High-Density Lipoproteins (HDL) particles, which are biomarkers inversely correlated with cardiovascular risk and which represent therapeutic targets for atherosclerosis. The electrochemical properties of the grafted antibody on interdigitated gold electrode were achieved by Impedance Spectroscopy (IS). The used deposition method was based on oriented antibody Anti-ApoA1 with an intermediate thin layer of protein G.
