Background: The electroencephalogram (EEG) based brain-computer interface (BCI) system employing imagined speech serves as a mechanism for decoding EEG signals to facilitate control over external devices or communication with the external world at the moment the user desires. To effectively deploy such BCIs, it is imperative to accurately discern various brain states from continuous EEG signals when users initiate word imagination.

New Method: This study involved the acquisition of EEG signals from 15 subjects engaged in four states: resting, listening, imagined speech, and actual speech, each involving a predefined set of 10 words.

Extended reality (XR), which includes virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR), provides promising advancements in managing chronic neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease (PD), multiple sclerosis (MS), Alzheimer's disease, and stroke. This review examines the impact of XR technologies on neurological care, highlighting their ability to create immersive, interactive environments that enhance rehabilitation through tailored motor and cognitive exercises. XR supports neuroplasticity by providing engaging, contextually relevant exercises and real-time feedback, offering innovative alternatives to traditional methods.

Background: In a world filled with technology, there's concern about the impact of screen time on children and teenagers. A recent study of 11,875 children aged nine to 10 in the US explored how screen time affects mental health, behaviour, school performance, sleep, and friendships. The results indicate that more screen time is mildly linked to worse mental health, more behaviour problems, lower academic performance, and poorer sleep, but slightly better peer relationships.

Human papilloma virus (HPV infection) plays a important role in causing cervical cancer. Out of 184 different HPV genotypes, 40 diverse types only can cause anogenital infection. HPV present in >99% of cervical cancers with high risk types (16, 18) associated with cancer and Low risk types (6, 11) are associated with genital warts.

Objective: To propose an expression relating the number and volume of targets with the prescription dose in determining normal brain volume receiving 12 Gy dose (V12) for five to ten brain metastases treated in linear accelerator-based stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) planning. To determine the volume of tumor that can be treated within the brain tolerance dose, for different SRS prescription doses.

Methods: Single-isocenter multiple-target (SIMT) SRS plans were devised for spherical targets that are modeled to simulate 47 tumor scenarios with varying tumor sizes and locations within the brain.
