BioLuminescent OptoGenetics ("BL-OG") is a chemogenetic method that can evoke optogenetic reactions in the brain non-invasively. In BL-OG, an enzyme that catalyzes a light producing reaction (i.e.

Purpose: Insight into the immune status of the living eye is essential as we seek to understand ocular disease and develop new treatments. The nonhuman primate (NHP) is the gold standard preclinical model for therapeutic development in ophthalmology, owing to the similar visual system and immune landscape in the NHP relative to the human. Here, we demonstrate the utility of phase-contrast adaptive optics scanning light ophthalmoscope (AOSLO) to visualize immune cell dynamics on the cellular scale, label-free in the NHP.

The inner limiting membrane (ILM) is a barrier for viral vectors, restricting transduction to a ring of RGCs serving the fovea in both humans and non-human primates (NHP). We evaluate peeling the ILM prior to intravitreal injection as a strategy to expand calcium imaging beyond the fovea in the NHP eye in vivo.

Methods: A stakeholder team established standard postsurgical care pathways and dedicated inpatient advanced practice provider positions. We compared postsurgical length of stay before (July 2017 to April 2018) and after (May 2018 to April 2019) the interventions using Wilcoxon rank-sum tests.
Tamoxifen is an antiestrogen used in the adjuvant endocrine therapy of early breast cancer and malignant breast disorders. It is also used in women with anovulatory infertility caused by its stimulating effect on the secretion of the pituitary gonadotrophic hormones. In males it could increase the endogenous production of androgens.
