Evaluating Postgraduate Surgical Education Experience, Professional Satisfaction and Personal Well-Being: A Cross-Sectional Survey of Trainees in A Low-Middle Income Country in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Background: Education at the postgraduate level is important in grooming competent specialists in different fields of surgical care. This study aimed to evaluate the training experience, professional satisfaction, and personal well-being of postgraduate surgical residents in northern Nigeria.

Subjects, Materials And Methods: It was a cross-sectional survey of 157 medical doctors enrolled for a minimum of 6 months in surgical residency training in tertiary hospitals in the northern zone of the country.

Endoprosthetic replacement of distal femoral tumors in Nigeria: A case series.

In this observational study, three consecutive patients who were treated for distal femur tumours using endoprosthetic replacement between June 2013 and June 2014 were studied. The patients were within the ages of 28-47 years at the time of surgery. All three patients had modular endoprosthesis fixation and were evaluated using the Musculoskeletal Tumour Society (MSTS) Scoring System.

Prevalence and modes of complementary and alternative medicine use among peasant farmers with musculoskeletal pain in a rural community in South-Western Nigeria.

Background: Anecdotally, use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) for Musculoskeletal Pain (MSP) is common in Nigeria; however, there seems to be a dearth of empirical data on its prevalence and mode of use. This study investigated the prevalence and modes of use of CAM for MSP among farmers in a rural community in South-western Nigeria.

Methods: This cross-sectional survey employed multistage sampling technique guidelines for conducting community survey by the World Health Organization among rural community farmers in Gudugbu village, Oyo State, Nigeria.
