Objective: Women with or at risk of hereditary breast- and ovarian cancer (HBOC) often live a surveillance-focused life from young adulthood. As they navigate a life of heightened medical vigilance, or a "cancer surveillance life," we explore how women with HBOC, as well as their partners and families, experience this particular kind of living through a thorough literature review of existing qualitative research.

Methods: We performed Boolean searches in PubMed, EMBASE, EBSCOhost, PSYCHinfo, Scopus, and Web of Science from April-May 2022, identifying 506 relevant articles.

Satisfaction with services among service users is an important aspect of quality in mental health care. This prospective study investigated associations between service and treatment factors at baseline and satisfaction with services at 18-month follow-up among service users with psychosis in specialist mental health services. Data were collected from 119 service users with psychosis and their clinicians from 26 clinical sites across Norway at baseline and after 18 months.

The TNF-TNFR1 signaling pathway plays a pivotal role in regulating the balance between cell survival and cell death. Upon binding to TNF, plasma membrane-localized TNFR1 initiates survival signaling, whereas TNFR1 internalization promotes caspase-mediated apoptosis. We previously reported that the α2-6 sialylation of TNFR1 by the tumor-associated sialyltransferase ST6GAL1 diverts signaling toward survival by inhibiting TNFR1 internalization.

Access to defined glycans and glycoconjugates is pivotal for discovery, dissection, and harnessing of a range of biological functions orchestrated by cellular glycosylation processes and the glycome. We previously employed genetic glycoengineering by nuclease-based gene editing to develop sustainable production of designer glycoprotein therapeutics and cell-based glycan arrays that display glycans in their natural context at the cell surface. However, access to human glycans in formats and quantities that allow structural studies of molecular interactions and use of glycans in biomedical applications currently rely on chemical and chemoenzymatic syntheses associated with considerable labor, waste, and costs.
