Treatment of a Large Gluteal Hydatid Cyst in Syria Using a Manual Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Device (PragmaVAC).

The lungs and liver are the most common sites of hydatid cysts, but they may also be found in other organs. We report the case of a lady in her 50s who presented to a hospital in northwest Syria with a large swelling in the right gluteal region. This was diagnosed as a gluteal abscess, and an incision and drainage were performed.

Background: Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) is an alternative to the standard gauze dressings for wound treatment. Due to limited health resources, poor electrical supply, and high costs, NPWT in resource-constrained settings is inaccessible. In conflict-affected settings, civilian injuries typically involve traumatic wounds or chronic wound infections that affect the extremities.

Sustainability reporting beyond the business case and its impact on sustainability performance: UK evidence.

We explore Landrum and Ohsowski (2018)'s development model, which positions each company's sustainability reporting with multiple worldviews of corporate sustainability. We investigate the impact of sustainability report communicative actions on corporate sustainability performance. We argue that companies that comply with the reporting guidelines and adopt the business case for corporate sustainability may not capture all sustainability aspects, and therefore may not have a real impact on sustainability performance.
