Article Synopsis
  • A rapid review was conducted to evaluate how effective dental scaling and polishing (S&P) is for adults, especially low-income individuals covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan.

  • There is limited information on how S&P impacts underserved populations, and scaling intervals should be personalized for those with periodontitis.
