The inhibitory effect of di-imine-SB namely ((NZ, NE)-N, N-bis (4 (dimethylamino) benzylidene) butane 1,4-diamine) on X65-steel in 1 M HCl has been investigated experimentally and theoretically. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), potentiodynamic polarization (PDP), and weight loss outcomes display the anticorrosion properties of "di-imine- SB". The inhibitory efficiency exceeds 90% at the optimal concentration of 1 × 10 M "di-imine- SB".

Article Synopsis
  • Inflammatory environments contribute to the development of cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), and the NKG2D receptor plays a key role in immune responses against tumors.
  • A study analyzed the rs2596542 polymorphism in patients with CCA, discovering a significant prevalence of the TT genotype among them, indicating its potential as a diagnostic marker.
  • Although the TT genotype is associated with higher CA19-9 levels in CCA patients, it does not influence the disease's progression, suggesting that targeting the MICA pathway could be a viable therapeutic strategy.

Background: Nephrotic syndrome (NS) is the most frequent glomerular disease among children. Renal biopsy is the most precise procedure for diagnosing and following childhood NS; however, it is an invasive procedure with potential complications. As a result, early non-invasive diagnostic and prognostic indicators and new treatment targets are urgently needed for this disease.
