Conservative management in a spontaneous pneumoperitoneum post breast augmentation and abdominoplasty: a rare case report.

This case report discusses a 32-year-old woman with no significant medical history who underwent elective bilateral breast reduction with auto-augmentation and abdominoplasty. Initially, her recovery was smooth, but on the third postoperative day, she exhibited tachycardia, tachypnea, and mild shortness of breath, while other vital signs remained stable. A chest X-ray revealed pneumoperitoneum, and a subsequent abdominal CT confirmed moderate pneumoperitoneum without gastrointestinal leakage.

Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory efficacy of N-acetyl cysteine in endodontic treatment: a scoping review.

Background: This scoping review systematically summarized the available evidence about the efficacy of N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) as an intracanal antibacterial and/or anti-inflammatory.

Methods: PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google scholar search engines/databases were searched up to February 2022 to retrieve relevant studies. The studies were evaluated for eligibility criteria, and identifying relevant studies.

Thoracic surgery in United Arab Emirates.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has undergone a significant change in its population and economy in the last decades and in parallel its healthcare system has evolved rapidly to provide advanced, innovative and world-leading care. At the forefront of this revolution in healthcare is the development of a multidisciplinary multimodality thoracic service provision, offered at quaternary referral hospitals amalgamating academics, training, research and innovation. Previously, thoracic service care was limited to single providers at various public and private hospitals, usually performing lower complexity cases.

The effect of changing apical foramen diameter on regenerative potential of mature teeth with necrotic pulp and apical periodontitis.

Objective: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the regenerative potential of permanent necrotic mature teeth with different apical foramen diameters in comparison to conventional endodontic treatment.

Methods: Pulp necrosis and periapical pathosis were induced in premolars (144 roots) in six mongrel dogs. The infected teeth were divided into six groups; conventional root canal treatment (RCT) group prepared up to apical preparation sizes #F3 ProTaper file, regenerative endodontic therapy (RET) groups; groups RET-F3, RET-F4, and RET-F5 where regenerative endodontic procedures were applied after apical preparation up to sizes #F3, F4, and F5 ProTaper file, respectively, control groups; and positive (P) and negative (N) groups included infected and healthy teeth respectively.
