General Anaesthesia and Emergency Surgery in Heart Transplant Recipient.

The number of patients who undergo heart transplant is increasing. Due to surgical emergencies, many of those may require general anesthesia in hospitals where subspecialized anesthetists may not be available. We present a case of a male patient who had heart transplant and required general anesthesia for emergency appendicectomy.

Aims: Treatment strategies for breast cancer continue to evolve. No uniformity exists in the UK for the management of node-positive breast cancer patients. Laparoscopic hernia repair: a two-port technique.

Objective: Various ventral and incisional hernia repair techniques exist and have largely replaced the open ones. The purpose of this study was to document the 2-port technique and demonstrate that it is feasible, efficient, and safe. To our knowledge, this is the largest report on this topic to date in the English-language literature.

A Rare case of Intestinal Malrotation presenting as Appendicitis in Late Adulthood.

Appendicitis is a common surgical condition with various clinical presentations. The diagnosis could be obscured by underlying undiagnosed anatomical anomalies like intestinal malrotation. Intestinal malrotation is a rare foetal anomaly resulting from an incomplete, or failure of midgut rotation and fixation.
