Hyaluronic acid (HA) and chitosan (CS), as natural biomaterials, display excellent biocompatibility and stimulate the growth and proliferation of fibroblasts. Furthermore, nylon 6 (N6) is a low-cost polymer with good compatibility with human tissues and high mechanical stability. In this study, HA and CS were applied to modify N6 nanofibrous mat (N6/HA/CS) for potential wound dressing.

Key Clinical Message: The study reports a rare case of pelvic solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) that was initially considered as a peri-anal gastrointestinal stromal tumor due to similar radiologic/pathologic features. SFT diagnosis can be challenging due to its rarity and wide range of diagnoses that must be ruled out precisely.

Background: Multiple molecular expression alterations, particularly in non-coding RNAs, play fundamental roles in the regulations of cellular processes and may relate to the occurrence and progression of colorectal cancer (CRC). In the present study, we investigated the associations between TGFBR2, miR20a-5p and long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) LAMTOR5-AS1 in CRC patients.

Methods: Colorectal cancer and adjacent normal tissue samples (n = 34) were prepared from CRC patients.
