spp. is a parasitic aquatic mite known to infect freshwater aquatic organisms, especially the marine and freshwater molluscs and few species of sponges. (Acari: Hydrachnida: Unionicolidae) generally infect the freshwater bivalves of the Genus sp.

An update of the species of Myxosporea (Cnidaria, Myxozoa) described from Indian fish.

A synopsis of Myxosporea (Cnidaria, Myxozoa) species described in about the last 14 years in Indian fish is provided. The synopsis include a total of 97 new species, and 18 species redescribed including significant new data, namely molecular characterization, distributed by 19 genera. For each species are indicated, in tabulated format, the morphological characteristics and the Gen Bank Accession Number whenever possible.

Synopsis of tailed Myxobolidae (Cnidaria, Myxozoa, Myxosporea) infecting Indian fishes.

A synopsis of 43 nominal species from five genera of tailed Myxobolidae infecting Indian freshwater and marine fishes is presented. The main characteristic of this group is the presence of at least one tail-like caudal process. For each species, relevant morphological and morphometric data are provided, such as the host(s), site(s) of infection within the host and sampling state.

New host and new geographical record of the ciliate parasites of ornamental fish, from Arunachal Pradesh for the first time in India.

Ornamental fish culture is growing to a prosperly in India. India earned lot amount of money from this business but unfortunately the ornamental fishes are facing lots of problem due to the parasitic infestation. While surveying, some ciliate parasites namely, (Lom in Arch Protistenkd 112:153-177, 1970) and (Davis in US Dept Interior Fish Bull 51:1-29, 1947) Lom (Acta Parasitol Polon 7:573-590, 1959) have been identified from ornamental fish from Arunachal Pradesh, India.
