[Upper femoral epiphysiolysis in French Polynesia. Hip pain with serious consequences].

High femoral epiphysiolysis is a frequent disability in French Polynesia, occurring more in obese young people that being a morphotype quite frequent in this geographical area. It is often at the stage of acute epiphysiolysis or fixed coxa vara these patients are examined. At such stage, sequellae are major and evolving to precocious coxarthrosis.

[A case of ureteral bilharziasis followed for 22 years].

The authors report on one case of urinary schistosomiasis monitored for 22 years. It illustrated the problems posed by the "bilharzial uretero-hydronephrosis". They analyse the different therapy problems which have to have been successively solved: Low double ureteral stenosis.

Three symptoms define the renovascular syndromes during pregnancy: hypertension, edemas and proteinuria. It is essential to detect them as soon as possible during the antepartal examinations. The directions for treatment consist in simple acts which are easy to perform in overseas conditions.
