Objective: This study aimed to assess the efficacy of local cold therapy in reducing myalgia pain levels among emergency room patients.
Methods: This was a pre-test/post-test randomized controlled study. Standard treatment (non-steroid analgesic anti-inflammatory parenteral medications) was implemented with one group, while the other groups received cold therapy and standard treatment.
Introduction: Early-onset severe obesity is usually the result of an underlying genetic disorder, and several genes have recently been shown to cause syndromic and nonsyndromic forms of obesity. The " () gene encodes for a centrosomal and ciliary protein. Homozygous variants in the gene are extremely rare causes of early-onset severe monogenic obesity.

The training of physicians caring for these children is crucial since they are at high risk for complications and adverse events. This study aimed to assess the efficacy of a comprehensive high-fidelity simulation-based training program for physicians caring for children on LTIHV.

Fifty-two patients (83 joints) with clinical signs of TMJ-OA were included in the study. Two examiners evaluated CBCT and MRI images.

The temperature variation of the nematic order parameter across both the nematic-isotropic (N-I) and the nematic-smectic-A (N-Sm-A) phase transitions of the neat 8CB and 8CB+MWCNT nanocomposites has then been derived from the dielectric anisotropy data within the framework of the Maier-Meier theory. With the inclusion of MWCNTs, both the N-I and the N-Sm-A transition temperatures have been noted to shift to lower temperatures as compared to the 8CB host.

Methods: Patients aged upper from 16 years who underwent strabismus surgery in our hospital reviewed retrospectively. Age, existence of amblyopia, pre-operative and postoperatively fusion ability, stereoacuity, and deviation angle were recorded.
Introduction: Polycythemia vera (PV) is known to be a subgroup of chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms and is recognized as a cause of pulmonary hypertension (PH). Pulmonary artery stiffness (PAS) is a relatively new noninvasive echocardiographic index developed to evaluate the structural features and functions of the pulmonary vascular bed. In this study, we aimed to evaluate right ventricular (RV) functions and PAS in PV patients and healthy controls.

Methods: Patients aged 20 - 76 years who were followed up after a diagnosis of SS and age- and gender-matched controls. The patients underwent RTVue-XR AngioVue OCTA imaging in this cross-sectional observational study.
Purpose: Our study evaluated macular and optic disc vascular density (VD) changes in patients diagnosed with keratoconus, as compared with gender and age-matched healthy controls, in relation to the keratoconus stage.
Methods: This comparative cross-sectional study included adult patients who received a diagnosis of keratoconus at the Cornea Clinic. All scans consisted of two 4.
This study examines surface roughness measurements via piezo acoustic disks and appropriate signal processing. Surface roughness is one characteristic of surface texture that can have various irregularities inherent to manufacturing methods. The surface roughness parameters and corresponding surface profiles are acquired by a stylus profilometer.

This study aimed to assess the utility of two video feedback methods by comparing the improvement in performing cricothyroidotomy procedure following self video feedback (trainees review their performance by themselves) and expert-assisted video feedback (trainees review their performance while an emergency physician provides additional feedback).
Methods: This study was pretest-posttest and two-group designed research performed at a university simulation center with 89 final-year medical students and used a cricothyroidotomy simulation model.
Introduction: Steroid therapy is known to be effective against granulomatous mastitis. We aimed to compare the efficacy of local versus systemic steroid administration in patients with idiopathic granulomatous mastitis.
Materials And Methods: This prospective cohort study included 58 patients who had either local (n = 42) or systemic (n = 16) treatment due to granulomatous mastitis between 2015 and 2019.
Objectives: Obesity is a public health problem that needs to be treated and it occurs as a result of excessive fat accumulation in the body. The relationship between obesity and pulmonary hypertension is well known. The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between pulmonary artery stiffness, right ventricular functions and bioelectrical impedance parameters in obese, overweight, and healthy individuals.

Study Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of blended learning on the theoretical knowledge and preliminary knowledge of the psychomotor skills, adherence to the algorithm, and teamwork in simulation-based education (SBE) of N-CPR.
Methods: This randomized, prospective study was conducted on 60 fourth-semester paramedic students.
Background: In this study, we aimed to image pulmonary venous return anomalies and associated cardiovascular and pulmonary abnormalities by high-pitch low-dose computed tomography (CT) in children.
Materials And Methods: Forty-one patients with total or partial anomalous pulmonary venous return anomalous between May 2012 and June 2019 were retrospectively reviewed. The anomalies were determined using high-pitch low-dose CT.
Beta-thalassemia major is a chronic disorder characterised by severe anemia. This patient with beta-thalassemia major is the first magnetic resonance (MR) angiographic case for symmetric mirror aneurysms of the extracranial internal carotid arteries. For diagnosis of vascular complications requires angiographic procedures such as catheter angiography, computed tomography angiography, MR angiography, or Doppler ultrasonography.
