Introducción: Las razones por las cuales los pacientes abandonan un tratamiento para adicciones son poco estudiadas. Materiales y métodos: Mediante un análisis cuanti-cualitativo se evaluaron los datos de 55 pacientes que interrumpieron una propuesta ambulatoria intensiva entre junio del 2019 y noviembre del 2021 y sus respuestas a un cuestionario. Resultados: La tasa de abandono fue del 29,2%, con una mediana [IC del 95%] de 113 días [47-255].

Objective: The purpose of this study was to asess the efficacy of an intensive outpatient treatment (IOT) for substance use disorder (SUD) using a multidimensional approach.

Methods: All the patients consecutively admitted to a private institution between May 2019 and May 2020 were invited to participate in the study. The program consisted in a 12-month set of psychosocial, medical and recreative interventions requiring an attendance of at least 9 hours per week.

There are different degrees of cognitive functional decline and modifiable risk factors related to their evolution. Mild cognitive impairment is a state of cognitive function between that seen in normal aging and dementia and is related to an increased risk of developing dementia. Among its potentially modifiable risk factors, substance use disorders have been described.

To explore behavioral differences as possible cultural factors in presentation of psychiatric comorbidity in two clinically referred, consecutively ascertained samples of youth with Tourette's disorder (TD) from New York and Buenos Aires. Subjects were evaluated between 2002 and 2010 at the Tics and Tourette's Clinical and Research Program at the New York University Child Study Center in New York and the Interdisciplinary Center for Tourette's, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Associated Disorders (CITTTA)/Institute of Cognitive Psychology (INECO) in Buenos Aires. Demographic, diagnostic, tic severity (Yale Global Tic Severity Scale; YGTSS), clinical (Child Behavior Check List-Parent version; CBCL), and global functioning (Global Assessment of Functioning; GAF) data were compared using descriptive statistics.
