Communication in radiology: evaluation of terminology and TNM descriptor use at a cancer center.

Objective: The purpose of our study was to evaluate the transmission of information from radiologists to physicians, focusing on the level of certainty and the use of imaging descriptors from the tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) staging system.

Materials And Methods: Radiologists (n = 56) and referring physicians (n = 50) participated in this questionnaire-based, singlecenter study, conducted between March 20, 2020, and January 21, 2021. Participants were presented with terms commonly used by the radiologists at the institution and were asked to order them hierarchically in terms of the level of certainty they communicate regarding a diagnosis, using a scale ranging from 1 (most contrary to) to 10 (most favoring).

Molecular and Dynamic Evaluation of Proteins Related to Resistance to Neoadjuvant Treatment with Chemoradiotherapy in Circulating Tumor Cells of Patients with Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer.

The heterogeneity of response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NCRT) is still a challenge in locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC). The evaluation of thymidylate synthase (TYMS) and RAD23 homolog B (RAD23B) expression in circulating tumor cells (CTCs) provides complementary clinical information. CTCs were prospectively evaluated in 166 blood samples (63 patients) with LARC undergoing NCRT.

Locoregional recurrence of Frantz' tumor: a case report and review of the literature.

Frantz' tumours or solid pseudopapillary tumours of the pancreas are rare neoplasms with low malignant potential. Young women in the second to third decades of life are more frequently affected. The treatment of choice is resection of the lesion, which is often curative.

Objective: To evaluate the indications for performing magnetic resonance imaging of the female pelvis at a referral center for cancer.

Materials And Methods: This was a retrospective, single-center study, conducted by reviewing medical records and imaging reports. We included 1060 female patients who underwent magnetic resonance imaging of the pelvis at a cancer center between January 2013 and June 2014.

Muscular cysticercosis: Case report and imaging findings.

Cysticercosis is a parasitic disease caused by a worm of the Cestoda class. The most prevalent form affects the nervous system. This case report is from a 78-year-old female patient evaluated at Clínica Mult Imagem, in the city of Santos, Brazil, who presented a form of the disease that differed from the classic neurocysticercosis, in this case muscular cysticercosis.

Bladder exstrophy.

Bladder exstrophy is a rare congenital anomaly resulting from failure of fusion of the middle of the pelvis line tissues during embryogenesis. It is characterized by malformation of the lower abdominal wall involving the genitourinary tract and the musculoskeletal system. Its incidence is estimated at 1:30,000 to 1:50,000 live births, and it is 2 or 3 times more frequent in males.

Orbital melanocytoma completely resected with conservative surgery in association with ipsilateral nevus of Ota: report of a case and review of the literature.

Background: Melanocytomas are rare pigmented primary lesions of the central nervous system arising from melanocytes of leptomeninges. They occur most frequently in the posterior fossa, Meckel's cave, or along the cervical and thoracic spinal cord. Orbital melanocytomas have been rarely reported.
