The multistage purposeful synthesis of 5,15-bis(4'-l--tyrosinylamidophenyl)-10,20-bis(-methylpyridin-3'-yl)porphine diiodide was carried out, and the optimum synthesis conditions were determined. 5,15-Bis(4'-nitrophenyl)-10,20-bis(pyridin-3'-yl)porphine served as the starting porphyrin. The structure, individual character, and purity of the target compound were proved by electron spectroscopy, H NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry (MALDI TOF), and TLC.

Triethylaluminum Al(CH), TEA, and triethylborane, B(CH), TEB, are transparent, colorless, pyrophoric liquids with boiling points of approximately 190 °C and 95 °C, respectively. Upon contact with ambient air, TEA, TEB, as well as their mixtures and solutions, in hydrocarbon solvents, ignite. They can also violently react with water.

Chitosan is a naturally occurring polysaccharide derived from chitin with a wide range of uses. Phthalocyanines are macroheterocyclic compounds that have a number of useful properties such as coloring and catalytic and antioxidant activity. Phthalocyanines are able to immobilize on chitosan, forming complexes with new useful properties.

The complexation processes of chitosan with cobalt(II)tetrasulfophthalocyanine (CoPc) and copper(II)tetrasulfophthalocyanine (CuPc) were studied calorimetrically in solution. It was established that CoPc forms two types of complexes with chitosan, while CuPc forms a single type of complex with chitosan, in which copper(II)tetrasulfophthalocyanine is in dimerized form. The complexes are thermodynamically stable, which was allowed to study them in a solid form by different methods.

Thermal stability of polyvinyl alcohol/cellulose nanocrystals (PVA/CNCs) composites prepared with solution casting technique was studied. The PVA/CNCs composites were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometry, X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and thermogravimetric (TG) analysis. Due to the presence of CNCs nanoparticles, thermal degradation of the composites occurs at much higher temperatures compared to that of the neat PVA.

It was performed a comparative research of remote results including local status and life quality of simultaneous surgical treatment in 64 patients with postoperative ventral hernias (W1-W4) and obesity (1-3 degrees). It was compared advanced hernioalloplasty with new synthetic materials including Prolene-Monocryl-composite mesh and absorbable adhesion barrier INTERCEED (TC7) in combination with abdominoplasty and hernioalloplasty with the same materials. It was concluded that simultaneous hernioalloplasty and abdominoplasty contributed statistically significant (p < 0.

The prospective multicenter open noncomparative pharmaco-epidemiological observational project on the use of mydocalm in real clinical practice has been completed in 2013. The project has been performed in 2090 clinical/rehabilitation settings in 284 cities of 13 countries using the results of 35,383 patients. The project aimed to assess the safety of treatment (percentage of patients with adverse-effects) and pain relieving efficacy as well as patient's satisfaction with the treatment.

Two series of experiments were carried out in Wistar male rats. In the first series, rats were trained to acquire conditioning in a shuttle box to 50% and 80% learning criteria. In the animals of the experimental group that achieved 50% learning criterion, a significant decrease in the levels of serotonin-modulated anticonsolidation protein (SMAP) (solid phase, indirect ELISA-test) was observed in the temporal cortex as compared to the animals of the active control group.

Early elimination of functional bowel obstruction in postoperative diffuse purulent peritonitis (PDPP) is an important factor determining the outcomes of the disease. Nasogastrointestinal drainage used for this purpose is capable to adequately aspirate small bowel contents from the segments located at a distance not farther than 80-100 cm. In the majority of patients with PDPP, lacking of vital capacity of bowel wall as well as insufficiency of previously laid sutures were revealed, which forced a surgeon to resort to resection; in such cases the method of choice for decompression should be the application of terminal ileostomy.

Basing on 73 cases, the experience in diagnosis and treatment of tuberculous peritonitis (TP) has been summarized. The analysis of principal clinical symptoms was carried out, diagnostic value of various methods of examination in TP was shown. It was established, that in majority of cases conservative therapy with application of antituberculous preparations contributed to improvement of patients' condition.

Policy of surgical treatment of 200 patients with pyonecrotic lesions of the lower limbs and diabetes mellitus are analysed. The management of such patients should provide timely adequate surgical treatment of the focus of affection, correction of carbohydrate metabolism with increased doses of simple insulin, removal of intoxication, prevention of thromboembolic complications, and treatment of concomitant diseases. Necrectomy and drainage of the abscesses under epidural anesthesia are advisable in gangrene of the toes and phlegmon of the feet in patients suffering from diabetes mellitus.

Monoclonal antibodies were used to study the T and B immunity systems in 60 alcoholic patients suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis. The patients with that combined pathology demonstrated marked immunodeficiency as regards the T system and an increase of humoral immunity. It is assumed that one of the main causes of immunodeficiency lies in the blockade of the differentiation of T cells at the stage of T prothymocytes.

The results of clinical-roentgenological and hormonal-immunological studies showed that immunohomeostasis peculiarities and adaptation in children with thymomegaly and pneumonia-complicated thymomegaly are determined by prolonged 'metabolic stress' effect associated with thymomegaly and coexistent intercurrent infection. Immune control of children with thymomegaly is appreciably determined by the hormonal function of hypothalamus-hypophysis-thymus-adrenal cortex system and by optimum balance of its constituents. Hypothalamic-hypophysial-adrenal system, cAMP and cGMP as universal intracellular mediators, and, essentially, thymus hormonal function are basic contributors to immunohomeostatis and adaptive reaction control in children with thymomegaly.

The concentration of somatotropic hormone (STH) was measured by radioimmunoassay in 108 patients with acute and chronic pancreatitis and in 15 healthy persons. In addition, to study the reserve capacity of the somatotropic function of the pituitary, insulin hypoglycemia was employed. It was established that during exacerbation, the pancreatitis patients manifested an increase in the hormone content.

According to the present clinical-experimental investigations, hypocorticism at the thymomegaly (hyperplasia of the thymus) was shown to occur as the secondary phenomenon as a result of the reduction of the corticotrophin function of adenohypophysis due to the activation of dopaminergic and serotoninergic central inhibition systems.

The potentialities of the adrenocortical system and thymic condition after corticotropin use were studied in young children with thymic hyperplasia combined with pneumonia. The results of the hormonal status studies after zinc-corticotropin suspension load indicate the secondary adrenocortical hypofunction. Corticotropin use within 5 to 10 days in a dose of 1 E/kg body weight intramuscularly is adequate to obtain the thymic involution in thymomegaly.
