Solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas.

Solid pseudopapillary tumors of the pancreas, known as Frantz tumors, are rare pancreatic tumors that occur predominantly in women, with very few cases reported in men. We present the case of a 27-year-old female patient who came to the emergency room with an intense upper abdominal pain associated with nausea and vomiting and a palpable mass in the left upper quadrant. She was initially diagnosed with a post-traumatic pancreatic pseudocyst.

The relationship between expression of p53/Bcl-2 and histopathological criteria in breast invasive ductal carcinomas.

Seventy-five cases of invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) on whom axillary lymph node dissection and mastectomy were performed between 1996 and 2000 were reviewed histopathologically. The slides were stained immunohistologically with p53 and Bcl-2. In 40 cases we observed 53% Bcl-2 and 69% p53 positivity.
