Objective: To assess the hemodynamic and renal effects of patients undergoing on-pump pediatric cardiac surgery under general anesthesia (GA) with low-dose vasopressin infusion.
High thoracic epidural analgesia (HTEA) plays a pivotal role in reducing stress and neuroendocrine response in cardiac surgeries. The primary objective is to assess the effect of HTEA, in pediatric cardiac surgery, on inflammatory markers (interleukin [IL]-6, IL-8, and tumor necrosis factor-α).
