Fatigue Modeling Containing Hardening Particles and Grain Orientation for Aluminum Alloy FSW Joints.

The macro-mesoscopic joint fatigue model containing hardening particles and crystal characteristics is established to study the effect of the hardening particles and the grain orientation on fatigue properties of an aluminum alloy friction stir welding (FSW) joint. The macroscopic model is composed of the weld nugget zone, thermo-mechanically affected zone, heat-affected zone, and base material, according to the metallurgical morphology and hardness distribution of the joint. Cyclic stress and strain data are used to determine the material properties.

Cloning and characterization of dehydrin gene from Ammopiptanthus mongolicus.

Based on the sequence of an expressed sequence tag, the full-length cDNA of 1,008 nucleotides was cloned from Ammopiptanthus mongolicus by rapid amplification of cDNA ends. It was designated as AmDHN, encoding a protein of 183 amino acids. The calculated molecular weight of the AmDHN protein is 18.

[A novel fuzzy neural network method for diesel quantitative analysis with near infrared spectroscopy].

To satisfy the requirement of the production control and quality inspection of petrochemical products, a novel fuzzy neural network control method is proposed for determining product composition by near infrared spectroscopy. For the data analysis three different diesel products were selected as samples and six analytical models, such as saturated hydrocarbons, polar compounds, monoaromatics, dicyclic aromatics, tricyclic aromatics and naphthenes, were developed with the proposed fuzzy neural network method. Based on dSPACE, the near infrared spectroscopy system real-time experimental platform has been established to testify and analyze different diesel samples.
