The formation criteria of the LPSO phase are important for the design of long-period stacking-ordered (LPSO) Mg alloys. This work focuses on Type I LPSO Mg-Y-X alloys and attempts to explore the formation criteria of the LPSO phase from the perspective of liquid-solid correlation. With the aid of molecular dynamics simulation, liquid Mg-Y-X alloys are investigated to obtain the common liquid characteristics from the reported Type I LPSO Mg-Y-X alloys.

Background: Increasing evidence has supported a link between obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and cognition, and blood-brain barrier (BBB) dysfunction which can be reflected by paroxysmal slow wave events (PSWEs) may be a potential mechanism. The purpose of our study was to investigate the correlation between the PSWEs and cognitive impairment in patients with OSA, with a focus on the possible mechanism.

Methods: In total, 339 subjects with subjective snoring complaints from the Sleep Medicine Center underwent magnetic resonance imaging and whole-night polysomnography.

A meticulous understanding of the electronic structure of catalysts may provide new insight into catalytic performances. Here, we present a interaction model to systematically study the electronic interaction in Cu-based single-atom alloys. We refine three types of electronic interactions according to the position of the antibonding state relative to the Fermi level.

Background: Patients with acute non-lacunar single subcortical infarct (SSI) associated with mild intracranial atherosclerosis (ICAS) have a relatively high incidence of early neurological deterioration (END), resulting in unfavorable functional outcomes. Whether the early administration of argatroban and aspirin or clopidogrel within 6-12 h after symptom onset is effective and safe in these patients is unknown.

Methods: A review of the stroke database of Weihai Municipal Hospital, Cheeloo College of Medicine, Shandong University and Qingdao Center Hospital, Qingdao University Medical College in China was undertaken from May 2017 to January 2020 to identify all patients with non-lacunar SSI caused by ICAS within 6-12 h of symptom onset based on MRI screening.

The solubility of Bi in aqueous solution is an important factor that limits the fabrication of high-quality BiS thin films. In order to find a low-cost method to manufacture high-quality BiS thin films, we are reporting the preparation of the BiS thin films based on pulse-plating method in this paper for the first time. The nano-bismuth particles were obtained by electroplating on fluorine-doped SnO (FTO)-coated conducting glass substrates with saturated bismuth potassium citrate solution as the electroplating bath, and then it was put into a muffle furnace to oxidize.

In this paper, a set of online measurement devices of multi-electrochemical sensor was investigated. Combined with industrial distributed control system, it was first applied in extracting bromine from seawater to realize the real-time adjustment of production process parameters. In the process of extracting bromine from seawater, the pH value of acidified raw brine, the addition amount of Cl in the oxidation stage and the addition amount of SO in the absorption stage are key parameters to control the whole production process.
