Research on the experiment of the enhancement removal of fine sand by hydrocyclone in sewage treatment plant.

The content of fine sand (< 200 μm) in primary sludge is relatively high in Chongqing sewage treatment plant owing to the part of rainwater will be mixed with sand and discharged into the municipal pipe network. Due to the insufficient separation of the sand, different obstacles to subsequent treatment processes may increase equipment wear, reduce effective volume of the tank, or shorten the cleaning cycle. There is a common use of grit chamber for the separation.

Direct evidence on the energy transfer of near-infrared emission in PbS quantum dot-doped glass.

PbS quantum dot (QD)-doped glass was prepared by the heat treatment of as-prepared glass, which was confirmed by transmission electron microscope (TEM), absorption and photoluminescence (PL) spectra. Choosing the glass heat treatment at 600°C for 24h as a representative sample, steady-state and transient-state PL, lifetime and time-resolve emission spectra (TRES) of PbS QD-doped glass were studied in detail. The results indicated that the lifetime spectra showed a similar variation tendency with the PL spectra.

2.7 μm emission in Er3+:CaF2 nanocrystals embedded oxyfluoride glass ceramics.

Using conventional melt-quenching and subsequent thermal treatment, Er(3+) doped CaF(2) transparent glass ceramic (GC) was prepared. X-ray diffraction and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy confirmed the formation and microstructure of CaF(2) nanocrystals in glass. An energy-dispersive spectrometer was used to investigate the distribution of Er(3+) ions and CaF(2) nanocrystals in glass.
