Lithium-ion capacitors (LICs), which combine the characteristics of lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors, have been well studied recently. Extensive efforts are devoted to developing fast Li insertion/deintercalation anode materials to overcome the discrepancy in kinetics between battery-type anodes and capacitive cathodes. Herein, we design a FeNbO/reduced graphene oxide (FNO/rGO) hybrid material as a fast-charge anode that provides a solution to the aforementioned issue.

Methods: A total of 140 unresectable or metastatic EC patients receiving PD-1 inhibitor treatment were included from Jan 2016 to Mar 2020. Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test were used for comparing overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) between groups.
Background: Hadal zone of the deep-sea trenches accommodates microbial life under extreme energy limitations and environmental conditions, such as low temperature, high pressure, and low organic matter down to 11,000 m below sea level. However, microbial pathogenicity, resistance, and adaptation therein remain unknown. Here we used culture-independent metagenomic approaches to explore the virulence and antibiotic resistance in the hadal microbiota of the Mariana Trench.

Actually, modification of biomolecules to ENMs in aquatic ecosystems alters their interactions with Ag. This study discovered that surface functionalization of glutathione (GSH, a sulfhydryl compound ubiquitous in natural waters) on molybdenum disulfide (MoS) nanoflakes suppressed the redox reaction between 1 T components and Ag, inhibiting the MoS-mediated reduction of Ag to Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs) in aqueous phase in the dark.

Fe(II)-induced ferrihydrite transformation into secondary, more crystalline minerals often controls the geochemical behavior of associated contaminants including arsenate (As(V)) and Cd(II) in natural and contaminated environments. However, the fate of co-existent As(V) and Cd(II) and the underlying mechanism during this transformation process remain unclear.

In 90% of cases, this congenital IVC variant is isolated and does not affect the patient's growth or development. However, thoracic surgery such as esophagectomy would be fatal if the flow through this connection was interrupted.

Different surface modification agents are required to improve the dispersion of TC additives and the interfacial compatibility with the silicone matrix. In this study, MQ silicone resin (MQ) was used to modify two kinds of self-made spherical boron nitrides (SBNs), with different particle sizes, using the sedimentation method.

However, previous studies on the dynamics of these lakes focused on monitoring on multi-year scales and therefore lack sufficient temporal information. Here we present a new dataset comprising annual maps of big lakes (>10 km) on the TP for 1991-2018, generated by utilizing all available Landsat images in conjunction with Google Earth Engine.

In this study, we focused on the effects of composting processes on nutritional qualities and antioxidant activity of Pleurotus floridanus mushroom fruiting bodies. Three treatments of different composting time (2, 4, and 5 days) were performed with an atmospheric sterilization treatment as the control.

This study aimed to achieve depth information of computed tomography (CT) images by texture analysis and to establish a model for noninvasive evaluation of intracranial pressure (ICP) in patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (HICH).
Methods: Forty-seven patients with HICH were selected.
The outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) at the end of 2019 turned into a global pandemic. To help analyze the spread and evolution of the virus, we collated and analyzed data related to the viral genome, sequence variations, and locations in temporal and spatial distribution from GISAID. Information from the Wikipedia web page and published research papers were categorized and mined to extract epidemiological data, which was then integrated with the public dataset.

Methods: Publicly available data from the TCGA database was utilized to explore the expression pattern and regulating role of glucagon (GCG) in colorectal cancer (COADREAD) including colon adenocarcinomas (COAD) and rectum adenocarcinomas (READ).
Liver disease has high prevalence, number, and disease burden in China, and polyene phosphatidyl choline (PPC) is a widely used liver protective drug. We aim to explore the effectiveness and economy of PPC in patients with liver diseases based on real-world research and compare with other hepatoprotective drugs. This is a "three-phase" study from three medical centers, including descriptive study of patients using PPC injection, self-control case study of patients using PPC injection, and specific-disease cohort study of patients using PPC injection or control drugs.

This non-randomized trial recruited participants with solid tumors treated with at least two prior systemic treatment lines. For comparison, 1:1-matched controls who received anti-PD-1 alone were recruited.

In a cone beam CT system, a bowtie filter brings in additional scatter signals with respect to object induced scatter signals, which can degrade image quality and sometimes result in artifacts. This work aims to improve the image quality of CT scans by analyzing the contribution of bowtie filter induced scatter signals and removing them from projection data. Air calibration is a very useful preprocessing step to eliminate the response variations of detector pixels.

Background And Aims: Plenty of literature has documented that fine particulate matter (PM) exposure is related to blood pressure (BP) elevation. Vascular dysfunction is the initiation of cardiovascular diseases, such as hypertension. This thesis set out to assess the role of Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) in the increase in BP induced by PM.

In this Letter, a single-scattering-channel model based on the Monte Carlo method is proposed for non-line-of-sight ultraviolet communication with mobile terminals. Our main contribution is to present an original method of evaluating the impulse response of communication channels given the relative moving speed and direction of the terminals.

The antibiotic resistance crisis underlies globally increasing failures in treating deadly bacterial infections, largely due to the selection of antibiotic resistance genes (ARG) collection, known as the resistome, in human gut microbiota. So far, little is known about the relationship between gut antibiotic resistome and host metabolic disorders such as type 2 diabetes (T2D). Here, metagenomic landscape of gut antibiotic resistome is profiled in a large multiomics human cohort (n = 1210).

Integrated analysis identified 20 archaeal, 27 bacterial, 20 fungal and 21 viral species for each single-kingdom diagnostic model.
