Secondary upper limb lymphedema is easy to occur after breast cancer surgery, for which treatment is limited. 9-cis-retinoic acid (9-cisRA) has been demonstrated to increase lymphangiogenesis without enhancing tumor metastasis but has the disadvantages of poor water solubility, easy decomposition in light, unstable to heat, and short half-life. Based on this, 9-cisRA-Lip with a particle size of roughly 143 nm and high dispersibility was prepared by thin-film dispersion method and verified by Malvern Laser Particle Size Analyzer and electron microscopy.

Recently, photothermal therapy (PTT), which involves the generation of heat under irradiation to achieve photothermal ablation of BC with minimal invasiveness and outstanding spatial-temporal selectivity, has been demonstrated as a novel therapy that can overcome the drawbacks of chemotherapy or surgery. Significantly, when combining PTT with chemotherapy and/or photodynamic therapy, an enhanced synergistic therapeutic effect can be achieved in both primary and metastatic BC tumors.

Methods: PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library were searched for eligible studies. Data comparing maintenance dexamethasone with single-dose dexamethasone during the acute, delayed, and overall phase of CINV were extracted.
Objective: This study aimed to assess the safety and efficacy of left liver anatomical resection via the left vertical groove following intraoperative antegrade cholangioscopy (biliary exploration through the left hepatic duct orifice) in patients with left-sided hepatolithiasis (LSH) and previous biliary tract surgery.
Methods: Between January 2012 and January 2016, eligible patients with LSH (n = 28) who underwent left liver anatomical resection via the left vertical groove followed by intraoperative antegrade cholangioscopy, were referred to our hospital. Clinical results, such as the overall operative time, length of hospital stay, intraoperative complications, residual stones and postoperative bile leaks, were recorded and analyzed.
A new titanium-oxo cluster (TOC) with a co-crystallized dye-anchored Ti cluster and a classical Ti cluster was isolated. The Ti cluster is anchored by mixed dyes of photoactive triphenylamine and catechol. This is the first co-crystallized neutral TOC.

Breast cancer is a prevalent malignant cancer worldwide, and a lack of defined biomarkers for early prognostication contributes to its high associated mortality rate, especially in human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER-2)-positive breast cancer. In the present study, HER-2 mRNA levels in patients were detected prior to surgery and during neoadjuvant chemotherapy to explore its potential diagnostic and prognostic value. Blood samples were collected from 70 patients with breast cancer, including 50 HER-2-negative and 20 HER-2-positive patients, prior to and following surgery (postoperative, n=13; neoadjuvant chemotherapy, n=5); the control group included 35 samples from healthy individuals.
