Purpose: To analyze the correlation between the changes in salivary ion concentration, Streptococcus and Bifidobacterium in children with dental caries and the severity of the disease.
Methods: Eighty children with dental caries treated from May 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the experimental group. According to the DMFT, they were divided into mild group (DMFT≤15%, n=35) and severe group (DMFT>15%, n=45).

Background: Hemifacial microsomia (HFM) is the second most common craniofacial congenital anomaly following cleft lip and palate. Because of the various phenotypic spectra and the severity of the deformity, a wide range of treatment approaches have been proposed. Recently, the surgery-first approach (SFA) was introduced to treat mild to moderate HFM, and it yielded a balanced facial appearance.

The protein has a highly conserved polo-box domain (PBD) present in C-terminal noncatalytic region, which exhibits a relatively broad sequence specificity in recognizing and binding phosphorylated substrates to control substrate phosphorylation by the kinase. In order to elucidate the structural basis, thermodynamic property, and biological implication underlying PBD-substrate recognition and association, a systematic amino acid preference profile of phosphopeptide interaction with PLK1 PBD domain was established via virtual mutagenesis analysis and mutation energy calculation, from which the contribution of different amino acids at each residue position of two reference phosphopeptides to domain-peptide binding was characterized comprehensively and quantitatively.

The HLA II contains three allelic isotypes HLA-DR, -DQ, and -QP that exhibit considerably different susceptibility to AR. Here, we investigated the structural basis and energetic landscape of the susceptibility difference between the three HLA II isotypes to AR by combining computational analysis and experimental assay.

The curing behaviors of WTME/CNWs nanocomposites were measured with rotational rheometer. The results show that the storage modulus (G') of WTME/CNWs nanocomposites increased with the increase of CNWs content.

Due to the formation of hydrogen bonds, the viscosity of 2K-WPU dispersion was found to be increased with the addition of CNWs. SEM images showed "sea-island structure" corresponding to the microphase separation between CNWs nano-filler and the 2K-WPU matrix.
