Objective: To explore latent profiles of self-management behaviors in older adult patients with chronic diseases and identify the factors that influence different profiles, guiding targeted interventions.
Methods: This study used convenience sampling to recruit 536 older adult patients with chronic diseases from three tertiary hospitals in Anhui Province between October 2023 and May 2024. Data were collected using a general information questionnaire, the age-adjusted Charlson Comorbidity Index (aCCI), the Chronic Disease Self-Management Behavior Scale, the Chronic Disease Management Self-Efficacy Scale, the Psychological Status Scale, the Digital Health Literacy Scale, and the Social Support Scale.
Most natural products in nature have broad but not exceedingly good biological activities. The pyrazole structure has been introduced into natural products due to its suitability for various synthetic methods and its broad pharmacological activities. This article provides a detailed introduction to the anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and anti-Alzheimer disease activities of pyrazole-modified natural product derivatives, particularly their anti-tumor activity.

Epigenetic changes may have important contributions to that, but the underlying mechanisms are not well understood. Here, we report the influence of GDM on DNA methylation of offspring (GDF1) oocytes and the possible mechanisms.

Our study demonstrates that highly metastatic (HM), but not non-metastatic, ovarian cancer cells selectively activate the peritoneal mesothelium. HM cells exert a stronger adhesive force on mesothelial cells via P-cadherin, an adhesion molecule abundant in late-stage tumors.

Here, we found that maternal obesity disrupted the genomic methylation of oocytes using a high-fat diet (HFD) induced mouse model, at least a part of which was transmitted to the F2 oocytes and livers via females. We further examined the metabolome of serum and found that the serum concentration of melatonin was reduced.

Pseudolaric acid B (PAB) has emerged as a potent inhibitor of tumor cell proliferation, migration, and angiogenesis. In efforts to enhance its efficacy, 37 derivatives of PAB were synthesized and assessed for their capacity to suppress VEGF secretion in SiHa cells under hypoxic conditions.

We designed and synthesized 27 PAB derivatives and evaluated their anti-proliferative activities against four cancer cell lines: MCF-7, HCT-116, HepG2, and A549. Compared with unmodified PAB, the PAB derivatives showed stronger anti-proliferative activity.

Gpx4 plays an essential role in ferroptosis; it can be used to determine the Gpx4 as an indicator for determining tumor occurrence and as a means of treating cancer. Although there is no market for Gpx4 inhibitors, many researchers have conducted extensive research, and some compounds have entered clinical research.

For the past hundred years, scientists have focused on how to kill cancer cells and inhibit their metastasis , but few breakthroughs have been made. Here we hypothesized a novel mode for cancer metastasis.

Despite the fact that C-Myc G-quadruplex in the oncogene promoter regions is one of the crucial targets of antitumor drugs, the selectivities and proliferation inhibitions of its probes towards tumor cells remain a big challenge. Until now, no effective C-Myc G-quadruplex probes have been reported as a photosensitizer to increase their antitumor activities. Here, the first NIR C-Myc G-quadruplex probe PDS-SQ has been designed, comprising a G-quadruplex binder PDS and a squaraine dye SQ as a photosensitizer.
