Cadmium (Cd) pollution severely affects plant growth and development, posing risks to human health throughout the food chain. Improved iron (Fe) nutrients could mitigate Cd toxicity in plants, but the regulatory network involving Cd and Fe interplay remains unresolved. Here, a transcription factor gene of alfalfa, was verified to respond to iron deficiency and Cd stress.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFIron (Fe) is necessary for plant growth and development. The mechanism of uptake and translocation in Cadmium (Cd) is similar to iron, which shares iron transporters. Yellow stripe-like transporter (YSL) plays a pivotal role in transporting iron and other metal ions in plants.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFIron(Fe) is a trace metal element necessary for plant growth, but excess iron is harmful to plants. Natural resistance-associated macrophage proteins (NRAMPs) are important for divalent metal transport in plants. In this study, we isolated the (MN_547960) gene from alfalfa, the perennial legume forage.

Aim: To summarize the clinical characteristics and treatment effects of chlorine poisoning caused by improper mixing of hypochlorite bleach with acidic cleaning agents.
A new nerve matrix membrane derived from decellularized porcine nerves has been shown to retain the major extracellular matrix components, and to be effective in preventing adhesion between the nerve anastomosis sites and the surrounding tissues in a rat sciatic nerve transection model, thereby enhancing regeneration of the nerve. The effectiveness of the membrane may be attributed to its various bioactive components. In this prospective, randomized, single-blind, parallel-controlled multicenter clinical trial, we compared the safety and efficacy of the new nerve matrix membrane with a previously approved bovine tendon-derived type I collagen nerve wrapping.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFA 12-weeks feeding trial was performed to investigate the possible effects of supplementation of Hybrid sturgeon diet with Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (GB-9) and Yarrowia lipolytica lipase2 (YLL2) single or combined on immune response and growth performance of Hybrid sturgeon (Acipenser schrenkii ♂and Acipenser baeri ♀). For this aim, Hybrid sturgeons were fed with four experimental diets namely: Diet 1 (0-control), Diet 2 (5.0 g/kg GB-9), Diet 3 (4.

Objective: To explore the roles of NF-κB in factor VIIa-induced proliferation and migration of a colon cancer cell line (SW620) in vitro and its possible mechanism.
Methods: The expression levels of NF-κB (p65), inhibitory protein of NF-κB (IκB-α), caspase-7, interleukin 8 (IL-8) and tissue factor (TF) in SW620 cells treated with factor VIIa, PDTC (an inhibitor of NF-κB) and other factors were measured by Western-blotting and real-time PCR. Proliferation and migration of the cells were analyzed by flow cytometry and Transwell assay, respectively.
Aim: Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is the major polyphenolic constituent in green tea. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of EGCG on proliferation and migration of the human colon cancer SW620 cells.
Methods: Proliferation and migration of SW620 cells were induced by the protease-activated receptor 2-agonist peptide (PAR2-AP, 100 μmol/L) or factor VIIa (10 nmol/L), and analyzed using MTT and Transwell assays, respectively.

Aim: To investigate whether tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated factor 6 (TRAF6) is involved in anti-β2GPI/β2GPI-induced tissue factor (TF) expression on THP-1 cells.
Methods: The total RNA was extracted and the protein lysates were collected from THP-1 cells stimulated with anti-β2GPI/β2GPI complex. And then the TF expression on THP-1 cells was detected by real-time quatitative PCR (RT-qPCR) and TF activity kit.
Objective: To investigate the effects of chronic amiodarone therapy on L-type calcium current recovery and action potential duration of rabbit ventricular myocytes.
Methods: Healthy rabbits (1.6-1.
