Analysis of the continuous ambient noise data collected by a dense network of broadband seismic stations reveals the characteristics of ambient noise in densely populated urban areas. A study conducted in central Inner Mongolia utilized ten broadband stations to investigate two distinct repetitive and intense noise signals with predominant frequencies ranging from 1-20 Hz and 0.01-1 Hz.

Herein, we develop a modular and efficient "cycloaddition/ring-opening" strategy of bicyclo[1.1.0]butanes (BCBs) with triazinanes to provide a series of -diastereoselective cyclobutylamines via 2,4-diazabicyclo[4.

A fundamental objective of genomics is to track variations in gene expression program. While metabolic RNA labeling-based single-cell RNA sequencing offers insights into temporal biological processes, its limited applicability only to in vitro models challenges the study of in vivo gene expression dynamics. Herein, we introduce Dyna-vivo-seq, a strategy that enables time-resolved dynamic transcription profiling in vivo at the single-cell level by examining new and old RNAs.

T helper 17 (Th17) cells play crucial roles in various autoimmune diseases, including ulcerative colitis (UC), which is characterized by widespread inflammation in the mucosa of the colon and rectum. To identify small-molecule compounds capable of inhibiting CD4 T cell differentiation into Th17 cells, we established a screening system. Through drug screening, we found that pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate ammonium (PDTC) effectively inhibits Th17 differentiation.

To investigate the accuracy and efficiency of spine 2D/3D preoperative CT and intraoperative X-ray registration through a framework for spine 2D/3D single-vertebra navigation registration based on the fusion of dual-position image features. The preoperative CT and intraoperative anteroposterior (AP) and lateral (LAT) X-ray images of 140 lumbar spine patients who visited Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University from January 2020 to December 2023 were selected. In order to achieve rapid and high-precision single vertebra registration in clinical orthopedic surgery, a designed transformation parameter feature extraction module combined with a lightweight module of channel and spatial attention (CBAM) was used to accurately extract the local single vertebra image transformation information.

Article Synopsis
  • - Patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) typically have a poor prognosis, but Loncastuximab tesirine (Lonca), an antibody drug, has shown significant effectiveness in a global study (LOTIS-2).
  • - The China bridging pivotal phase 2 study treated eligible patients who had already undergone at least two previous treatments, showing an overall response rate of 51.6% and a complete response rate of 23.4% after a median of 4 cycles of treatment.
  • - While Lonca was generally well-tolerated, there were notable side effects, particularly in blood-related events, with serious treatment-emergent adverse events reported in 35 out

  • Nofazinlimab is a humanized antibody targeting PD-1, showing no dose-limiting toxicities in an Australian first-in-human study with a maximum tolerated dose not reached in the 1-10 mg/kg range.
  • A phase 1a/1b trial in Chinese patients assessed its safety and efficacy, with phase 1a determining a recommended phase 2 dose of 200 mg every 3 weeks, while no dose-limiting toxicities were reported in phase 1b.
  • The results indicated that 23.9% of patients achieved confirmed objective responses, particularly in those with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma when combined with lenvatinib, showing promising preliminary efficacy for further studies.

Extensive research has made significant progress in exploring the potential application of extracellular vesicles (EV) in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoarthritis (OA). However, there is current a lack of study on bibliometrics. In this study, we completed a novel bibliometric analysis of EV research in OA over the past two decades.

Glycosylation is an important post-modification reaction in plant secondary metabolism, and contributes to structural diversity of bioactive natural products. In plants, glycosylation is usually catalyzed by UDP-glycosyltransferases. Flavonoid 2'--glycosides are rare glycosides.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study investigates how long-term insulin resistance affects the risk of frailty and cardiovascular disease in young adults, involving 3,168 participants over a 30-year period.
  • - Findings showed that those with high insulin resistance had a 55% higher risk of being frail, and were also more likely to face cardiovascular issues like coronary heart disease and stroke.
  • - The results highlight the need for early prevention and intervention strategies for abnormal glucose metabolism among young adults to reduce frailty and cardiovascular risks.

The tumor microenvironment is a complex space comprised of normal, cancer and immune cells. The macrophages are considered as the most abundant immune cells in tumor microenvironment and their function in tumorigenesis is interesting. Macrophages can be present as M1 and M2 polarization that show anti-cancer and oncogenic activities, respectively.

Purpose: This study investigated potential predictive models associated with natural killer (NK) cell mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP or ΔΨm) in predicting death among critically ill patients with COVID-19.

Patients And Methods: We included 97 patients with COVID-19 of different severities attending Peking Union Medical College Hospital from December 2022 to January 2023. Patients were divided into three groups according to oxygen and mechanical ventilation use during specimen collection and were followed for survival and death at 3 months.

In diabetic patients with skin injuries, bacterial proliferation, accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the tissues, and impaired angiogenesis make wound healing difficult. Therefore, eliminating bacteria, removing ROS, and promoting angiogenesis are necessary for treating acute diabetic wounds. In this study, benefiting from the ability of polyphenols to form a metal-phenolic network (MPN) with metal ions, TA-Eu MPN nanoparticles (TM NPs) were synthesized.

Background: Spermatogenesis is a highly regulated and complex process in which DNA methylation plays a crucial role. This study aimed to explore the differential methylation profiles in sperm DNA between patients with asthenospermia (AS) and healthy controls (HCs), those with oligoasthenospermia (OAS) and HCs, and patients with AS and those with OAS.

Results: Semen samples and clinical data were collected from five patients with AS, five patients with OAS, and six age-matched HCs.

Background: Serum concentration of soluble growth stimulation expressed gene 2 (sST2) appears to have prognostic value in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) by now. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) sST2 concentration and outcome in patients with aSAH.

Methods: A total of 65 aSAH patients who met the inclusion criteria in the Neurosurgery Department of Jining No.
