Online video super-resolution (online-VSR) highly relies on an effective alignment module to aggregate temporal information, while the strict latency requirement makes accurate and efficient alignment very challenging. Though much progress has been achieved, most of the existing online-VSR methods estimate the motion fields of each frame separately to perform alignment, which is computationally redundant and ignores the fact that the motion fields of adjacent frames are correlated. In this work, we propose an efficient Temporal Motion Propagation (TMP) method, which leverages the continuity of motion field to achieve fast pixel-level alignment among consecutive frames.

The mitogen-activated protein kinase-interacting protein kinases (MNKs) are the only kinases known to phosphorylate eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E) at Ser209, which plays a significant role in cap-dependent translation. Dysregulation of the MNK/eIF4E axis has been found in various solid tumors and hematological malignancies, including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Herein, structure-activity relationship studies and docking models determined that exhibits excellent MNK1/2 inhibitory activity, stability, and hERG safety.

Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK)-interacting kinases (MNKs) can regulate cellular mRNA translation by controlling the phosphorylation of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E), which plays an important role in tumor initiation, development, and metastasis. Although small-molecule MNK inhibitors have made significant breakthroughs in the treatment of various malignancies, their clinical application can be limited by drug resistance, target selectivity and other factors. The strategy of MNK-PROTACs which selectively degrades MNK kinases provides a new approach for developing small-molecule drugs for related diseases.

Single photon sources are fundamental building blocks for quantum communication and computing technologies. In this work, we present a device geometry consisting of gold pillars embedded in a van der Waals heterostructure of graphene, hexagonal boron nitride, and tungsten diselenide. The gold pillars serve to both generate strain and inject charge carriers, allowing us to simultaneously demonstrate the positional control and electrical pumping of a single photon emitter.

Scene text image super-resolution (STISR) aims to improve the resolution and visual quality of low-resolution (LR) scene text images, while simultaneously boost the performance of text recognition. However, most of the existing STISR methods regard text images as natural scene images, ignoring the categorical information of text. In this paper, we make an inspiring attempt to embed text recognition prior into STISR model.

We investigated the valley Zeeman splitting of excitonic peaks in the microphotoluminescence (μPL) spectra of high-quality hBN/WS/MoSe/hBN heterostructures under perpendicular magnetic fields up to 20 T. We identify two neutral exciton peaks in the μPL spectra; the lower-energy peak exhibits a reduced -factor relative to that of the higher energy peak and much lower than the recently reported values for interlayer excitons in other van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures. We provide evidence that such a discernible -factor stems from the spatial confinement of the exciton in the potential landscape created by the moiré pattern due to lattice mismatch or interlayer twist in heterobilayers.

Graphene oxide (GO) is one of the most studied nanomaterials in many fields, including the biomedical field. Most of the nanomaterials developed for drug delivery and phototherapies are based on noncovalent approaches that lead to an unspecific release of physisorbed molecules in complex biological environments. Therefore, preparing covalently functionalized GO using straightforward and versatile methods is highly valuable.

Advanced van der Waals (vdW) heterostructure devices rely on the incorporation of high quality dielectric materials which need to possess a low defect density as well as being atomically smooth and uniform. In this work we explore the use of talc dielectrics as a potentially clean alternative substrate to hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) for few-layer transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) transistors and excitonic TMDC monolayers. We find that talc dielectric transistors show small hysteresis which does not depend strongly on sweep rate and show negligible leakage current for our studied dielectric thicknesses.

Denoising and demosaicking are essential yet correlated steps to reconstruct a full color image from the raw color filter array (CFA) data. By learning a deep convolutional neural network (CNN), significant progress has been achieved to perform denoising and demosaicking jointly. However, most existing CNN-based joint denoising and demosaicking (JDD) methods work on a single image while assuming additive white Gaussian noise, which limits their performance on real-world applications.
