Nitrogen balance index (NBI) is one of the important indicators for crop growth. The high and low status of nitrogen can be quickly monitored by measuring NBI, which can provide accurate information of agricultural production and management. The relationship between NBI and original spectrum and derivative spectrum of infrared and near infrared wavelength from flowering to maturity stage was analyzed based on high definition digital image and hyperspectral data on unmanned aerial vehicles.

The topographical characteristics have been compared in detail with a potential energy surface of the same type recently reported [, 2015, , 124302] based on a least-squares fit to accurate high level MRCI(Q) energies, calculated using AV6Z basis set. The new three-dimensional global potential energy surface is then used in quasiclassical trajectory calculations for H(S) + CH( Σ) → C(P) + H( Σ ) reaction.

NS1-binding protein (NS1-BP), which belongs to the Kelch protein superfamily, was first identified as a novel human 70 kDa protein that interacts with NS1 of Influenza A virus. It is involved in many cell functions, including pre-mRNA splicing, the ERK signalling pathway, the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) pathway, F-actin organization and protein ubiquitylation. However, the structure of NS1-BP is still unknown, which may impede functional studies.

Long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) play important roles in drug resistance of tumor cells. The aim of our study was to investigate the mechanism of LncRNA-HOTAIR in regulating drug resistance of NSCLC cells.

We aimed to develop a fuzzy feature fusion method for auto-segmentation of gliomas in radiotherapy planning using multi-parametric functional MR images including apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), fractional anisotropy (FA) and relative cerebral blood volume (rCBV). For each functional modality, one histogram-based fuzzy model was created to transform image volume into a fuzzy feature space.

A Cell Counting Kit‑8 assay was performed to measure the effect of Patrinia on BLR‑3A cell activities. A biochemical assay was employed to detect the release of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in BRL‑3A cells induced by different doses of LPS.

It has been suggested that inactivation of APC plays an important role in activation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway and in the progression of colorectal tumorigenesis.

If a certain factor is altered or mutated, the coordinated developmental processes could be disrupted, resulting in neurological diseases. The 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) is an intermediate product of the DNA demethylation processes.

Differences in mitochondrial activity among induced (i)PSCs with different degrees of pluripotency are poorly understood. In this study, by comparing gene expression and mitochondrial activity among iPSCs with different degrees of pluripotency, we found that mitochondrial complex I gene expression, complex I activity, and cellular ATP levels were much higher in fully pluripotent stem cell lines than in partially pluripotent stem cell lines.

Recent findings suggested that the lncRNA HOTAIR played an important role in tumorigenesis and metastasis. In the present study, HOTAIR was highly expressed in NSCLC tumor tissues and cell lines (H1299, H23, H292, and A549).

Frame rate up conversion (FRUC) can improve the visual quality by interpolating new intermediate frames. However, high frame rate videos by FRUC are confronted with more bitrate consumption or annoying artifacts of interpolated frames. In this paper, a novel integration framework of FRUC and high efficiency video coding (HEVC) is proposed based on rate-distortion optimization, and the interpolated frames can be reconstructed at encoder side with low bitrate cost and high visual quality.

Patients And Methods: Patients with confirmed diagnoses of ankylosing spondylitis (AS), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) were recruited, regardless of demographics, disease severity, and treatment characteristics. Adherence was assessed using the Compliance Questionnaire for Rheumatology and interview-based self-reports.
Emodinol, 1β, 3β, 23-trihydroxyolean-12-en-28-acid, as the main active ingredient firstly extracted from the rhizomes of Elaeagus pungens by our Research Group, was identified with apparent uricosuric and nephroprotective effects in hyperuricemia mice in our previous study. This study aimed to investigate the renal protective effect of emodinol in urate nephropathy rats. Rats were orally administrated by combined adenine and ethambutol to induce urate nephropathy.

Although TRAIL can induce cell apoptosis by engaging its cognate TRAIL-R1/R2, some tumor cells are or become resistant to TRAIL treatment. Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against TRAIL-R1/R2 have been developed to use as potential antitumor therapeutic agents instead of TRAIL.

Herein, we demonstrate a faradaic mechanism to promote the capacity of capacitive deionization in highly concentrated salt water via an electrochemical deionization device. In this system, ion removal is achieved by the faradaic mechanism via a constant current operation mode, which is improved based on the constant voltage operation mode used in the conventional CDI operation.

In this paper, we propose a maximum likelihood estimation based regression (MLER) model for multivariate calibration. The proposed MLER method seeks for the maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) solution of the least-squares problem, and it is much more robust to noise or outliers and accurate than the traditional least-squares method. An efficient iteratively reweighted least squares technique is proposed to solve the MLER model.

Results are consistent with theory and show that the adsorption coefficient at -48°C is nearly 25 times higher than that at 23 ℃.
