Twenty different sesterterpenes including 16 undescribed compounds, possessing 10 different mono-/di-/tri-/tetra-/penta-carbocyclic skeletons, including the unique 15-membered macrocyclic and 24(15→14)-abeo-capbuane scaffolds, are isolated and structurally elucidated from engineered Escherichia coli strains expressing CbTPS1. Site-directed mutagenesis assisted by molecular dynamics simulations resulted in the variant L354M with up to 13.

However, halide-containing catalysts are predominantly used in these reactions, despite halides being notoriously corrosive to steel processing equipment and residual halides also having harmful effects. To eliminate the reliance on halides as cocatalyst in most CCE reactions, halide-free catalysts are highly desirable.

By using perfluoroalkyl halide (PFAH) as a nontraditional, readily available, ideal 1,2-difluoroalkenyl coupling partner, a defluorinative cyclization reaction of enamides for the construction of fluoroalkenyl oxazoles is first developed. The selective and controllable two-fold cleavage of vicinal C(sp)─F bonds in PFAH not only enables the introduction of a specific 1,2-difluoroalkenyl moiety with ease but also results in the functionalization of two C(sp)─H bonds of enamides without the need for metal catalyst, photocatalyst, oxidant, or light.

However, excessive fluid administration may lead to fluid overload can aggravate acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and increase patient mortality, predicting fluid responsiveness is of great significance for VV-ECMO patients. This prospective single-center study was conducted in a medical intensive care unit (ICU) and finally included 51 VV-ECMO patients with ARDS in the prone position (PP).

Acute lung injury being one of the earliest and most severe complications during sepsis and macrophages play a key role in this process. To investigate the regulatory effects and potential mechanisms of adipose mesenchymal stem cell derived-exosomes (ADSC-exo) on macrophages and septic mice, ADSCs-exo was administrated to both LPS-induced macrophage and cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) induced sepsis mice. ADSCs-exo was confirmed to inhibit M1 polarization of macrophages and to reduce excessive inflammation.

TGase significantly increased the hardness of gels and the most stable three-dimensional network structures were formed by adding 20 U/g and 28 U/g. Not only the non-network structure proteins of gels and free sulfhydryl groups were fewer but also the β-fold and β-angle relative contents were higher than cowpea protein isolate (CPI) and cowpea albumin (CPA).

The present protocol features mild reaction conditions, no external chemical redox reagents, excellent atom economy, and gram-scale synthesis. In addition, a mechanistic investigation indicates that the reactions proceed through a radical pathway.

Introduction: Mycobacterium marinum is a well-known pathogenic non-tuberculous mycobacterium for skin and soft tissue infections. Infection, often presenting as superficial lesions, is seen after exposure of skin abrasions to contaminated water or infected fish and is known as "swimming pool" or "fish tank" granuloma. This study reported a case of M.

However, developing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) that incorporate photosensitive corroles as functional ligands for synergistic phototherapy remains a formidable challenge. Herein, for the first time, the unique phosphorus corrole-based MOFs Cor(P)-Hf with (3,18)-connected gea topology are reported, which are constructed by Cs-symmetric dicarboxylate 3-connected linkers, 10-pentafluorophenyl-5,15-di(p-benzoate)phosphorus corrole (Cor(P)), and the peculiar D-symmetric 18-connected Hf-oxo clusters.

Achieving scar-free skin regeneration in clinical settings presents significant challenges. Key issues such as the imbalance in macrophage phenotype transition, delayed re-epithelialization, and excessive proliferation and differentiation of fibroblasts hinder wound healing and lead to fibrotic repair. To these, we developed an active shrinkage and antioxidative hydrogel with biomimetic mechanical functions (P&G@LMs) to reshape the healing microenvironment and effectively promote skin regeneration.

MnS@PAA nanoparticles of varying sizes were synthesized by altering the ratio of ethylene glycol (EG) to diethylene glycol (DEG) during the synthesis process. These nanoparticles exhibited a uniform size distribution and demonstrated high T relaxation rates, along with a notable pH-responsive behavior.

However, the previous topological corner states based nanocavities and nonlinear harmonic generation have to comply with particular spatial symmetries of underlying lattices, hindering their practical application. In this work, we design a photonic nanocavity based on shape unrestricted topological corner state by applying Kekulé modulation to a honeycomb photonic crystal.

In our study, we attempted to construct a waveguide satisfying BIC conditions by forming a polymer layer on a 4H-SiC substrate, positioned on an insulator. By fine-tuning the waveguide parameters, we minimized losses to the substrate continuum and determined that the lowest loss meeting BIC conditions occurs when the HSQ width is 1.
