Background: Ezetimibe is known for its lipid-lowering safety and tolerability, but its real-world adverse effects have not been fully evaluated. In this study, adverse events associated with ezetimibe were investigated using the FAERS database for the period 2004 to 2023.
Research Design And Methods: Adverse events data for ezetimibe, spanning from the first quarter of 2004 to the fourth quarter of 2023, were standardized and analyzed using signal quantification methods like Reporting Odds Ratio (ROR), Proportional Reporting Ratio (PRR), Bayesian Confidence Propagation Neural Network (BCPNN), and Multi-item Gamma Poisson Shrinker (EBGM).

Background And Objective: Despite the growing popularity of acupuncture for sexual dysfunction (SD) in the Western world, many clinicians struggle to understand the exact therapeutic mechanism of acupuncture which is based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). This study aims to describe the fundamentals of acupuncture theory from TCM perspectives and its relevance to SD; evaluate the current state of acupuncture research within literature evidence; and critically analyze its therapeutic effects in premature ejaculation (PE), erectile dysfunction (ED), and female SD.
Methods: All published English-language SD clinical studies treated by acupuncture were searched in PubMed from database inception to 1 April 2024.
The tumor-associated antigen MUC1 is an attractive target for immunotherapy, however, its weak immunogenicity limits the induction of antitumor immune responses. To overcome this limitation, in this study, MUC1 glycopeptide was covalently linked with a diphtheria toxin-derived T-helper epitope (DT). Subsequently, the resulting DT-MUC1 glycopeptide was physically mixed with natural killer T cell agonist αGalCer to explore their immunomodulatory synergy.

One essential method of the inflammatory response's programmed cell death is anthrax. One of the main causes of diabetic renal disease progression in a high-glycemic environment is the lysis of renal resident cells.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the links between CBC-derived inflammatory biomarkers and frailty index.
Methods: Information was gathered from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning the years 1999 to 2016.
Objective: This study aims to explore the potential targets and anticancer mechanisms of dendrobine from Dendrobium nobile in the treatment of colorectal cancer through network pharmacology, and to experimentally validate its specific effects.
Methods: Initially, potential targets of dendrobine were identified using the ITCM Traditional Chinese Medicine database, while colorectal cancer-related genes were obtained from the NCBI Gene database, with the intersection of these datasets taken for further analysis. Functional enrichment analysis was conducted using the Metascape database, and a protein-protein interaction (PPI) network was constructed.

SnSe materials have attracted extensive attention in thermoelectrics due to their low thermal conductivity. Nevertheless, the thermoelectric properties of n-type polycrystalline SnSe are still low, and metallic Sn distributed in the SnSe materials would affect the repeatability of thermoelectric performance. Herein, the thermoelectric properties of n-type polycrystalline SnSe-based composites are highly enhanced by heterogeneous Cu doping.

Using specific pathogen-free Wistar rats, a spleen deficiency model was created through senna leaf gavage. Rats were divided into control, model, positive control, and GHAM treatment groups.

Methods: Participants from the 2011-2014 cycles of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey were chosen to assess cognitive function using the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease Word Learning Test, the Animal Fluency Test, and the Digit Symbol Substitution Test. Participants scored below the 25% percentile of any of the three tests were defined as having cognitive function impairment.
Eutrophication leads to various environmental issues, including pollution caused by the production of algal organic matter (AOM). Algae typically respond to environmental changes (e.g.

Subjects And Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 83 patients suspected of bone metastasis who underwent quantitative SPECT/CT bone scans in our hospital from September 2023 to July 2024. A total of 91 high-metabolic bone lesions were outlined for SUV measurement, while the spinal SUV of patients with normal bone metabolism were outlined as the control group (46 vertebral bodies).
Many epidemiologic and animal studies have shown that maternal hypothyroidism is associated with an increased risk of hypertension in offspring in later life. In this study, we established a maternal hypothyroidism rat model to explore the underlying mechanism that contributes to elevated blood pressure in adult male offspring of hypothyroid mothers. The levels of thyroid hormones (THs) in the offspring were measured using ELISA kits.

Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted in 354 patients who underwent TKA in Shuguang Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2019 to December 2022. Sociodemographic characteristics, anesthesia methods, Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia (TSK), numeric rating scale (NRS), hospital for special surgery (HSS), activities of daily living (ADL), and self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) were reviewed and analyzed.

To identify genetic variants associated with Stanford A thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection (ATAAD) using whole-exome sequencing (WES) and analyze positive mutation rates among patients of different onset ages. WES was performed on 62 sporadic Chinese ATAAD patients (51-74 years old), and then grouped based on onset age together with 73 previously reported TAAD patients (19-50 years old): ≤35, 36-45, 46-55, and >55 years. The proportion of patients with pathogenic/likely pathogenic (P/LP) variants in TAAD causal genes was compared across groups.
