Recent advancements in Electrowetting on Dielectric (EWOD) systems, such as simplified fabrication, low-voltage actuation, and the development of more reliable materials, are expanding the potential applications of electrowetting actuators. One application of EWOD actuators is in RF devices to enable dynamic reconfiguration and allow real-time adjustments to frequency and bandwidth. In this paper, a method is introduced to actuate a panel using EWOD forces.

In this study, we aimed to determine the occurrence and degree of facial contamination to both endoscopists and their assistants during endoscopic procedures to help inform future safety measures.

It has previously been shown that current smoking is protective against endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)-induced acute pancreatitis, but the mechanism of this effect was not identified. We tested the hypothesis that nicotine is the active factor in this protection in a mouse model of ERCP. Our work examines this UV structural color, originating from a low refractive index contrast polymer composite system as a function of the viewing angle.
